Will this work for CAC cards?

Does it supposed to light up when the CAC card is inserted?

I bought my reader and it does not work for mac... is there a website i need to use to download a software for it to work?

For military CAC go to: https://militarycac.com it has all the answers, links, videos and software your heart desires. I some this one reader on 3 machines: Windows 7 and 10, and Mac. It even works on my Windows Virtual Machines running on my Mac as well. It works just dandy!

When i insert my cac, the light turns on for a few seconds, then off. it no longer reads my cac. does that mean this is broken? my certs are good.

It's the device retry cache settings in Microsoft. The problem still exists to this day. There's videos on YT about it, but after another next update, the exploit no longer works.

I was looking for the scm microsystems scr3310/v2 usb cac smart card reader, is this the same? i don't recognize your brand name.
