Great choke
Best buckshot choke tube I have owned. Turned shotgun into my favorite deer gun for around the house, and on dog drives.

Fits Garaysar shotgun
I wanted this to extend the barrel length so the bullpup would cycle target loads. It works but you have to make a minor modification. Original Garaysar chokes measured at .8065" on Thread Major and this choke measures .8080". Other than that the minor, square thread profile and choke length line up almost perfectly. 15 mins of careful sanding with 400 grit and measuring brought the final TM dimensions to .8070 which was a snug but comfortably threading fit. Great choice if you don't mind a little DIY smithing. Make sure to take your time and clean the threads well afterwards so your barrel doesn't get worn.

Gets it Done!
Used it this past hunting season and it got the job done. Patterned well with my Benelli Nova.

Not for me
After around 6+ hours of testing (see pics) I have decided the Carlson buckshot choke shot basically the same as my factory improved modified choke in my tristar viper G2. I Patterned it from 15-50 yards. I shot pretty much everything I had from target to duck and geese loads. Buckshot in #4,#0 and #00 buck. The #00 buck was factory Winchester 2 3/4” 9 pellet the #4 and #0 were reloads. The buckshot was tested at 35 and 50 yards. Through my factory Improved modified the performance was better than the Buckshot choke with factory Winchester #00 buck. At 50yds minimal difference in the pattern Considering the difference in constriction of the two tubes. Everything I shot through it was basically the same as my factory choke. In my shotgun it loved the #00, but I was hoping for better patterns in smaller buckshot I’m loading for coyote hunting. I did not shoot my factory full chokes. I didn’t fill I needed too after seeing the patterns I was getting from the I.M. Choke. I did shoot my code black duck and close range choke from pattern master during testing. If you don’t have a good choke for #00 buck this is a great tube to try. Just not what I’m looking for.

Customer service lacking
Choke is all it’s advertised to be, but my experience with customer service has been terrible. The man that I was sent too had an attitude problem each time I called seeking advise or recommendations.. after spending several hundred dollars on Carlson Chokes, I expected more. On the other hand there was another gentleman the the first fellow went too for assistance. He acted as if he was genially interested and gave sage advise.
