I like these because they make it easy to line everything up for a perfect fit and alignment. I have received many compliments on the quality of my plumbing projects and these slip joints are part of the reason why. My measurements do not have to be perfect, just kind of close to get a professional result. I have never had a leak from a Shark Bite fitting, although I am using only with copper. I have heard of problems with plastic tubing, but I think that is from the cheap tubing, not this fitting.
