BACH 1857 Practice Mute

A little louder than I wanted, and the lower register feels a bit stuffy...but it's small enough to fit in my gig bag and made well enough to last while providing a quick, quiet warmup whenever I need.I wouldn't use this mute to practice for long sessions. I strictly use it to blow a few notes before a gig.

what I expected..

Very quick delivery. Nice product. Allows quick quiet warm up in a public venue when you need to silence the Trumpet! Very light, well made.

not very soft, and kind of "tinny" sounding... ok in a pinch but there are better ones out there

For this price I was very disappointed with the quality of this item - especially considering the brand. The plastic is very brittle and the mute we received was cracked when we received it. The packaging was good, so it was not obviously damaged in transit. Amazon made it right by accepting my return, but I will be looking for a different brand.

This mute works great! Quiets the instrument significantly. It's​ weighs very little and seems durable (hasn't broken despite dropping it a couple of times on accident).

I like that the mute is small and light so it's easy to carry around, it helps a lot with sound reduction. I am able to practice at home and work without bothering others

Quiets the practicing of trumpet without the added back pressure from the Yamaha silent brass. Though not as quiet as the Yamaha system, this does make practicing with roommates or neighbors easier.
