These shoes are really cool.. BUT
These shoes are really cool..BUT! one of the pairs was a little bit used when it came. The light of that pair is lighter than the other and doesn't light in each step. I don't know if it needs a replacement battery or if it's damaged.Plus, some parts fill out very quickly..For the price, I was expecting a perfect condition.My son has this for halloween to complete his Optimus Prime costume.I wish he didn't wear it.. I would have returned it for full refund...Anyway he likes it and he doesn't really care about these issues.. but I do..

What happened, Stride Rite?
I have 2 very active toddler boys (3 and 4) who have almost worn Stride Rites exclusively. They're pricier than other brands but I've always found the quality to be worth it.Until this pair of shoes.The pros:The design is awesomeAnd that, my friends, is where the 'pros' end.The lights in one shoe stopped working shortly after purchase. If that weren't frustrating enough (have you answered a 4 year old's daily question as to why their shoe won't light up? No? Consider yourself lucky), the strap is terrible. The strap gets stuck/velcroed to the tongue thus creating pulls/piling. The tongue is nearly ruined. It also seems that the strap is too short as I'm constantly having to readjust/revelcro the strap.Very frustrating considering I've never had any quality issues with SR before. Moms/dads, stay away, no matter how cool these look.

horrible!
Shoes are exactly as pictured, the lights are blue and very bright which my son loved! For that it gets the 1 star. However after a whole day of wearing these my son got cuts (now very red large scabs) on the front side of his ankles. The shoes are not well designed at all! The closure Velcro part used to close the shoe,the one located on top of the shoeh kept rubbing on my son's foot (he had short socks).. he was crying for TWO days after that. Refusing to wear any type of shoes. My son is 2 1/2. Worse experience ever.

Huge disappointment. Cannot recommend.
I am very disappointed with these shoes. I have four kids and have been through lots of shoes. I purchased these for one of my younger children and within one week one of the lights stoped working. They also not a good "runner" when compared to a Nike/asics/reebok cross trainer. I was hoping for a fun yet good quality athletic shoe for my child and this definitely does not fit the bill.

Poor product unfortunately
My son loved the look of these shoes and the would had received a 5 star review but the strap that goes across the top of the shoe is made really poorly. The ruff side of the Velcro is on the strap instead of the shoe and goes 3/4 of the way across the strap, which causes problems. 1st the strap doesn't reach far enough, 2nd the rough side of the Velcro rubs on my sons leg causing him pain and irritation when he wears them(you can see in the picture where the Velcro comes to a point... The white fuzzies stuck to it is from my sons socks,that's the part that would poke his leg), 3rd since the rough side of the Velcro is so long it has messed up the tongue of the shoe

Cute shoes
We've had these in 2 sizes now. My son loves both Transformers & dinosaurs so these were an obvious pick. I love thst they are Stride Rite & light up. The reason I am not giving them 5 stars is that the velcro isn't positioned correctly - it rips up the shoe tongue since it doesn't have the other side of the velcro on it. They also are a bit tight over the top of the foot due to the velcro.

Poor quality
I am rewriting my review. This item is horrible I thought because they were stride rite they would be excellent quality. Well they are NOT they have fallen apart and the Velcro straps have not held up I am informing everyone not to buy these. My grandson loved them but didn't hold up and they were not cheap I wish I could get my money back don't buy them

seriously awesome shoes!
Great quality and awesome shoes! My 5 yr old is obsessed with these! Very easy for him to put on and take off by himself. They are seriously killer shoes! Grimlock and Optimus Prime all in one! Light up eyes are neat and not too flashy. Fit super comfy and are extremely detailed! Very impressed! Soooo happy we purchased these! Definitely would recommend!
