ODL Add On Blinds for Raised Frame Doors - 24" x 38"

We just bought a vacation rental that has 4 exterior doors, all with half windows. We couldn't find anything good for privacy that wasn't ugly, or that could be easily opened and closed depending on preference. I found the ODL blinds on Amazon and couldn't believe that such a thing existed! I was skeptical so I only ordered one. When it came I installed it myself in 10 minutes! I'm pretty handy but am a 5'1" tall woman and didn't know if I could manage it myself. I watched a tutorial video online, then installed it. Super easy! I immediately ordered three more. Unfortunately they broke during delivery and FedEx sent them back before I even received them...a fault in shipping, not packaging. I tried again from another vender and now have all four installed. I can't even offer installation tips because it's so straightforward. They look great and work great...worth every penny! You won't be sorry!

I love my new add-on blinds by ODL that I just installed over a half view glass-windowed exterior door! We use this door extensively. Years ago, when our house was built, I installed regular louvered blinds over the glass for more privacy. Well, each time the door was opened, the blinds would flop over toward the door knob and it was a chore to straighten them after each door use. I rigged a piece of plastic on the door knob side of the window frame to at least reduce the level of disarray with each door use. This was not an optimal solution but it is one I've lived with for twenty years. Recently, when visiting at another house, I noticed that they had a full view glass-windowed door leading to their patio. Installed over it was an ODL add-on blind that looked sleek, was easy to operate, and best of all was self contained in a way that the blinds barely moved when the door was opened and closed. The blinds can be raised / lowered, tilted as desired, and are kept clean by the protective glass so no dusting is necessary once they are installed. I ordered one for my half view door and, voila, I could not be happier with the way it looks and functions. Buy one (or two or three...) and you won't regret it. Make sure you measure your existing frame accurately. The installation is easy so just follow the instructions and you should not have any problems but, if you do run into a glitch, just call the company (number provided). Given the quality of the add-on blinds, I'm confident their customer support reps would provide quality assistance if you need it.

This was well worth the purchase, it was easy to install, flush to the door, operates fairly smoothly. I use it on my workshop door to keep prying eyes out. I’m am completely satisfied with this purchase, the only thing that I was not completely satisfied with was the tracking. I like to track any purchases that I make and this wasn’t as easy as usual. I did receive the item in the projected delivery window so there wasn’t a whole lot to complain about. I most certainly recommend this product.

Review by Karen, my wife: We have a door into the Garage, from the hallway, that had a window in it. I hated it. I wanted it covered and searched and found this "retrofit" product. It came almost a week sooner than projected. It has been installed just today and I love it. It looks wonderful, works perfectly and provides me the privacy I needed. Ron had a time getting the screw covers off, because of the build-up of paint over them (and there were 14 of them), but once he did the rest of the installation was a breeze. Definitely recommend it. We'll probably buy 1 more for the back door out onto the porch!! DEFINITELY WATCH THE INSTALLATION VIDEO.

This was a relatively easy install but did run into some complications with the blinds. They kept coming out of the casing so I finally lowered the blinds before installing the window. Won't be raising the blinds, will only be using the open/close lever. Overall it's a good look, could use an extra support at the bottom.

It is great for out bathroom door that leads out to our hot tub. It stays snug when the door is slamed and there is less condensation on the window, reducing mole, etc. Easy to hang and can be easily removed, if we want access to the insides of the windows.

Most brilliant thing I have ever bought!! Truly took only 10 min to install. Bought a new house with a back door with half window/mullioned...didn’t want to shell out $700 for a new door with enclosed blinds. This was less than $100, looks amazing and I get compliments on it all the time. Operates smoothly, blinds are against the glass so no need to dust them! Adds some insulation to the window also (live in snow country, so big plus)

This is the greatest invention ever. I bought this for kitchen door/window. Door is metal and I had been using magnets to hold a curtain, however it was constantly falling off. With these blinds it not only attached very easy but I can also open blinds to let sunlight in, which is not something I could do with the curtain. Crazy easy to install, no need to make holes on the door either. Blinds are encased so no need to ever wash them, just wipe window glass.
