Tubex 50 5' Tree Shelters

These are exactly what I expected them to be: 18 went around maiden-year peach, apricot, apple, nectarine, and plum trees in my orchard to encourage scaffold branches starting at five feet; a dozen went on persimmon seedlings that were having difficulty breaking out of dormancy then growing; ten went on black locust seedlings that were growing well but looked more like bushes than trees, and 9 more went on foot-high sugar maple seedlings that were getting baked in our unseasonably hot June weather as indicated by burnt patches on some of their leaves. Sugar maples also won't survive our dry Idaho winter winds without trunk protection during their adolescent years and I expect these Tree Shelters to provide it! In addition, the five-foot length will help train my sugar maples to be tall and straight where winter snow drifts can get four feet deep.Multiple reasons for applying Tubex Tree Shelters to a busy tree-planting effort and my initial reaction is satisfaction with the product! These were relatively easy to install and the five different diameters make them amenable to different demands.
