About the Illustrator: Andy Elkerton was born in the sunny and fragrant town of Birkenhead, Merseyside. After art college he worked for 15 years designing graphics and animations for computer games before moving move back to his illustrative roots and becoming a children's book illustrator. He now lives in the Scottish Borders with his partner and their two wonderful ankle biters.
