The book is worth exactly what I paid... $0. The first half seems to just be ads for their other books. The second half is just all the things that any somewhat informed person already knows about solar. No practical information, no specifics. Just general background information. Don't waste your time.

Lots of general blabla that a simple internet search does reveal as well. I got it for 0 dollars on sale, but it was still non memorable and little informative. If it would have cost money, I would have been upset.I had hoped for an explanation of how exactly solar power works (schematics, electrical flow, component analysis, set up ect) - not much demystifying going on here

I didn't find this very helpful. I wanted to see if I could better understand just how a solar system works, and this book did nothing to help me. It is a very basic explanation of why solar energy has such potential but I already know that. Maybe the author is just so beyond me that he was unable to get down to my level of understanding. Also, while I don't doubt his intelligence, he should have a native English speaking proofreader go over his work.

It was okay. The basics of information, nothing more. There are links in the book for other books,​ I don't know if they have more information. It lost my interest in the book after half-way through reading about most of what I already knew.

This Beginner Guide was very helpful with pictures and diagrams of how Solar power works. I found The explanation diagrams were very helpful for myself to comprehend exactly how solar power converts the energy. Great book the was super easy to read and under stand. I recommend it to all the spouses out there who are having a hard time keeping up and under standing their prepper other half. This book really helped me not only under stand what my guy was telling me but I was able to add an idea in to our conversation.

Some good information here, but I am still not going to rush out and purchase a Solar Power Farm tomorrow. I am being a bit facetious here, and do greatly appreciate that this may well be the right way to go about replacing the power now created by the great number of aging dams in this world. Also the fact that you can literally start using Solar Power yourself is a fantastic benefit of this technology, as well. I can recommend this book as a starting point in researching the subject. It is NOT the "be all and end all" on the subject, but a good read, none the less.

I liked the way it was structured and written. I am starting a personal project of PV system for residential use and definitely this book complemented the "Checklist" I am using.As an improvement opportunity I would suggest more images, graphics and illustrations, however for and electrical/electronic engineer the actual illustrations are enough.
