Not all piping are the same
The media could not be loaded. I have an adjustable bed that is an odd size because it is two separate twin mattresses but the bed is not king size so finding sheets to fit just right is kind of difficult. We would usually use safety pins to pin the sheets to the mattresses to keep it in place. So when I saw these Bed Sheet Grippers I just had to try them. At first they seem impossible and very difficult to put on because they are made of hard plastic so you can not open or close them. But with allot of patience and a little bit of practice, it does get easier. As we soon figured out, not all piping are the same size. As you can see from the video, the piping on my top mattress is bigger than on the bottom one so it fit better on the bottom. To slide them on, you need to stand them upright to where the open end is over the piping with the slit facing the piping then you slide it back while pushing the top end down. Like I said, it take a few tries before getting them on so don't give up. I hope my explanation and video helps.

If you can get them on the piping of your mattress, they work really well. But it is SO HARD to get them on!!!

Once you figure out how to put them on they work great.
I was looking for something that would keep my sheets in place. I have a memory foam mattress topper and even with sheets with the “deep pocket” designation the upper corner of the bed on the side where I slept sheet edge would ride up after a few days of me changing the sheets. I turn over a lot in my sleep I guess....I want to say first that I am blind and that I didn’t read the description for the product all of the way before I bought them. Yes, that is a bad habit, but I was impatient with my sheets and didn’t care too much what they were like. I thought they would just be some form of mattress suspenders. I was very surprised when I first got them and just couldn’t seem to wrap my head around how they were supposed to work. I wasn’t gleaning enough information on how to use them from reading the product’s page either. While a some reviews were helpful, I just wasn’t “getting” it. Being able to ask a question was very helpful and I was able to figure out how to use them. Once I did I found that I am very happy with them. They are a bit tough to put on, but with a little elbow grease they work out great. They are a long cylindrical tube with a slit running from end to end with a slight flare at the ends. What I did was to make my bed as usual. Then I went toward the head of the bed, staying on the long side and a foot or two back from where the end of the mattress is I tucked the sheet in tighter and felt for the seam of the mattress. By the seam I am meaning that bit of fabric or coil of material that follows the seam of the two parts of the material for the mattress. The actual name escapes my mind at the moment. I actually was able to grab a hold of the actual framing/metal part of the mattress under the heavy fabric of the mattress and already having my extra fabric tucked in I took the grabber and at an angle pushed it onto the metal bits and pushed up and down, sliding it into place. I wasn’t strong enough to get the slit over that metal bit, but I was able to use a brush as a lever and use it to push it that last inch into place.

Although these look like they would be easy to use
I bought these bed sheet grippers because my husband tends to toss and turn a lot, so the fitted sheet comes off the mattress while he's sleeping. Although these look like they would be easy to use, it is very difficult to actually get them on. I would probably go with a strap instead.

I have always struggled to keep the bed skirt in place, it would always shift around and be hanging long on one side. I had tried putting velcro on the box spring and the underside of the skirt... I had tried the corkscrew pins. Nothing worked very well. But these Sheet Grippers actually do. You just slide them along the piping on the box spring and they keep the skirt in place very well. The biggest test was just sliding the mattress back onto the box spring after putting these on for the first time - they held perfectly and did not come off (like the corkscrews and velcro both did). I am going to buy more to also keep the mattress pad in place - it always slides down and bunches up under the sheets, but if I put a couple of these at the head of the bed, I bet it will stay in place too.I thought they were very easy to install - even with the thicker material of my quilted bed skirt. I just started with the gripper on one end, kind of at a 45 degree angle, and then slide it on the rest of the way. Wish I would have found these years ago - genius!

i couldn't get them to fit.
I couldn't get them to fit I tried it on two beds and they were too tight to clip or slide on. Can't use them now, I bought a tempurpedic and there is no seem to use it on.

Really good for keeping the sheet(s) from pulling off the mattress
While these clips are very effective, they are tight and so not too easy to insert. While it is possible to use them to clip 2 layers of sheets, they are best used to clip only one sheet to the mattress seam. Hold the seam with the sheet(s) wrapped around it and slide the clip on from one side or the other. The greater amount of sheet material, the harder it will be to push the clip into place.

I have an odd mattress...
I had the opposite problem to what many people have reported- they were too loose to hold!My mattress has flat piping, not round. So I heated the flat opposite the opening with a pencil torch and squeezed the jaws tighter. They hold now!Thought about ordering more for the rest of the beds in my house. Then I got smart, bought some hard plastic tubing at the hardware store, and got out the Dremel...
