Faithful Friend
People who have not read all the previous ANGEL After the Fall graphic novels may be a bit disoriented. I was. But - funny thing - Faith says to herself, "I must have missed a whole season", when Angel explains what he is up to next. This story has Faith being the "mature" friend, trying to guide a misguided Angel. Maybe you would rather read ANGEL After the Fall, which would be ANGEL Season 6 first. However, I enjoyed it anyway!

it is no surprise that I have watched and liked the series Angel
Being a huge Buffy/Joss Whedon fan, it is no surprise that I have watched and liked the series Angel. However, it lacked the quality that I found in big sister's better show. The characters weren't as good, the problems weren't as interesting, and the writing not up to the same level. The team I support is that of the Spuffy variety, and given Angel's season 8 antics my love for the character was waning more than it was prior to the season. So I started reading Buffy's Season 9 spin-off with mixed feelings. Soon those feelings were feelings of total and utter delight. There's a large group of fans out there that just didn't like Season 9 of Buffy, and preferred Angel, and I would have never thought but I am one of those same groups of people. I didn't think Season 9 of Buffy was bad, however, I just felt it wasn't as good and well written as Angel & Faith with too many low-points (I'm looking at you, Billy). Angel's quest for redemption, and Faith looming there to make sure the vampire with a soul doesn't lose the plot turned out to be a fantastic tale.Christos Gage proves he should have been apart of Buffy/Angel long ago, his attention to detail is spot on and he completely nails the way Joss Whedon's characters talk and interact. Vol. 1 is an amazing tale and start to the season, with a story/redemption plot that you'll be behind from the very start, and hoping that these two title characters can actually pull it off. Bravo Christos Gage, you started off this season 9 spin-off in a fantastic way!

if youre a skeptic give it a chance
I'm loving the angel and faith series, they've really found a way to keep this series really feeling legitimate and enjoyable.

Really good read!
I liked Buffy season 9 a lot but this was way better! The art and dialogue was just a lot more interesting and better paced. I really reccomend this for angel or faith fans!

Great start
I loved where the story was headed from the start. A lot of it (especially comic #5) made me feel like I was watching Angel. The way he finds himself in humorous situations while trying to do what's right and redeem himself. I like where Angel and Faith are headed, not only on their mission but as characters too. The art is also much better than the Buffy series'. The characters look more like themselves and the scenery is more detailed. I can't wait to read the next one.

Captured their dynamic
The only thing better than Faith & Angel is Bad Faith & Angelus, but I care about both characters so I am happy it's written like this. Good story, great art, and authentic voices.

Outdoing Buffy
I enjoyed the feel of this book over the Buffy comic. While Buffy has all the drama and supporting characters that one would expect, Angel & Faith delivers a more classic setup...

A Lot Here To Like
This volume 1 of a new Angel series (technically season 9, volume 1) focuses on Angel and Faith teaming together to find a way to bring Giles back from the dead.

A New Beginning
A good spinoff from the Buffy universe pairs Angel with Faith, the occasional rogue Slayer, setting them in London with a new status quo.

GO FAITH!
I really enjoy how faith is evolving and becoming quite the stand alone slayer! Angel better watch out 'cuse faith is taken over!

Five By Five
Angel & Faith is the best Angel comic that I have read. While I enjoyed what Brian Lynch did with his After The Fall run, the IDW Angel books went off the rails after his run was...
