JDAPT J-Arm Adapter for FLIR (Formerly Armasight) Optical Devices

With a file, some want to, and patience, this will work on a MUM14 mini rail. I have a MUM14 and the adapters are expensive and have a lot of inherent slop, so when I saw this plate I realized the opportunity I had. After buying it and messing with it, I realized that it was indeed exactly what I had been looking for.I had to open the dovetail in the adapter by filing off some material (off of the adapter plate, NOT off of the MiniRail on the expensive NVG device!), but after that I could use standard NVG JArms, Norotos DDA, or a Wilcox JArm to attach my MUM14 to the mount.It’s well made, and inexpensive (an utter rarity in the world of Night Vision). If you’ve been looking for a way to use better mounts with your MUM14 (or NVG with minirail), then this adapter is perfect for you.

Ordered one of these for my new Armasight spark that is attached onto a mil-spec J-arm (used but in new condition). This is mounted on a ballistic-rated fast helmet. People are messing around with all kinds of gadgets and DIY crap, when all they have to do is pick up one of these and they will be 100% in business.Well made, looks great, 20 second install and you are good-to-go. Fits snuggly and tightly (the way you want it to), to standard J-Arm and helmet mount + and it aligns the spark PERFECTLY to your eye.This is a highly recommended Item to all Spark Core Owners, at a very reasonable price.I also received this SUPER-FAST (like in 1 day). 5 STARS +++AAA++ !!!

I can only give 4 Stars because this is not THE perfect adapter plate. I was using it to mount an ATN NVM14-WPT and it would not fit on the mini-rail. I had to use a triangular needle file to remove about .010" from each side of the dovetail. A very minor amount, and this only took about 6mins of filing to achieve the perfect fit. I know this plate was not intended for the NVM14-WPT mounting, but it does work ans is very cost effective. I would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone trying to mount a non-PVS-14 device to a standard J-arm.

I bought this to use with my Armasight Vega monocular.The Vega is one of the least expensive ways to get into Gen1+ night vision.It actually uses the same proprietary technology used in the Armasight Spark but has almost no mounting options until now.I was able to connect my Vega in 5 minutes not using any instructions.Using this adapter I can use any to any J arm on the market set up hands free nods.This adapter appears very well made with a professional finish.I was able to buy my Vega for 165 but be warned it has a very narrow field vision since it is so compact.I might look at upgrading to the Spark if I can find a good deal.

1 star or 5....I split the difference. The mount is decent enough and has a good finish. I'm sure it works precisely as described for the Sparc. However, if you attempt to use it on anything else it doesnt work without some modifications! So a 1 star for not being made clear its not a "one size fits all" adapter.I believe this is intended *only* for the Sparc. It would be hugely useful to have the product description amended to note the fact this mount will not work "as-is" on other devices. I suspect Armasight isnt using industry standard rails here (If there even is an industry standard!) so I cant fault the vendor of the adapter but I can ask them to make that clearly known that this adapter wont work on other units without modification.A simple fix with a 3 square hobby file.

Fits like a glove on the gen 3 NVM-14. No filing needed. Not sure if this model NVG had a mounting system that mimicked the Armasight Spark but this piece slipped on like a glove. Will buy a second one to keep as a spare.

Simple, rugged, works. The set screw needs a T9 Torx.

A bit of a sloppy fit but it works.
