We are always looking for craft kits for our grandkids. Typically where we are involved with them. this bath bomb kit was easy to use, the grandkids loved making them with us and bath time was more fun so very useful.

My nieces had so much fun making bath bombs for our Galentines party. The only con I would say is that it takes a long time to read through the instructions. Be patient. Otherwise the girls loved it and the scents were sooo good.

It was fun but messy. I got it for a present. I like the scent and the shapings. But I kind of feel we wasted our money because you can’t get the stain out of your bowl or the smell so you can’t cook anymore with it so it’s OK. And you have to freeze it. And you can’t really shape the ball so good.

I got this as a kind of gag gift for my husband, something silly we could do together and maybe give away as gifts to his mom or my sisters. He tried making a bath bomb using the pineapple mold with just one color, no toy "surprise" inside, and I tried making one using the sphere mold, two different colors (layered) and one toy inside. There were different sets of instructions for both. Neither of them worked correctly.They both fell apart when trying to take them out of the molds. It might work with more water and/or coconut oil than the instructions require, but we didn't care enough to experiment.A few other issues: The coloring powders did not work very well. We ended up dumping in an entire packet of color (he used yellow for his pineapple and I used blue and purple for the sphere) and we got just faint pale shades. I also added glitter, which didn't seem to show up at all.I don't know what the recommended age is on this, but kids 12 and under are probably going to need adult assistance. The instructions weren't that easy to read or to follow, and even two adults trying to be careful still made a pretty big mess.

We had issues getting this to work. We had to keep adding more water to get it to stick together. Then we couldn’t get it out of the mold. The ones that stayed in one piece did not fizz well in the bath.
