I believe it’s meant for use by spraying directly to the crawling insects - which gives you a problem if you happen to be afraid of spiders! **Q: Does this work foe silver fish? As a long term solution** A: Hi. I haven't used the Karlsten on silverfish as I always reach for Rug Remedy UK's Silverfish Killer - they don't move a millimetre after being sprayed directly with this and it seems to incapacitate or kill them if you spray the area - and it dries quickly and works well on all surfaces you want to spray. I also spray the floor across doorways and all round the doorframe as they can climb walls and they do cross both hard floors and carpets. Rug Remedy's Silverfish Killer contains Cypermethrin whereas Karlsten contains Permethrin and Tetramethrin. Rug Remedy's instructions are to re-apply every 3 months or sooner if required. If you decide to buy Rug Remedy's Silverfish Killer, I'd recommend the one with the curved trigger top; the more angular one seemed to leak through somehow and I'd end up with a wet hand while I was spraying. I buy the 1 litre size. **Q: Will this kill flys?** A: Yes it kills flies and all other crawling/ flying insects. **Q: Can anyone tell me if this product has the ingredients Piperonyl Butoxide??** A: Does not state this ingredient on the tin - have used this spray and it is not very effective ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ It works use everyday till problem is resolved *by C***8 on 7 January 2021* I was getting bit by something could see what it was and it got to that point where I had to do something it wasn't going to go away on its own and have found this does work but have ordered this item twice now may have to order again just to be on safe side by haven't been bitten since but you never no if ya missed one but as found with this product you need to spray everyday and hoover till the problem is solved hope this helps ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent product *by S***S on 19 September 2019* The product did exactly as it said it would. It arrived quickly and am very pleased with the result. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Spray nozzle comes off. *by M***H on 4 June 2020* I've tried each of the 2 cans I bought, and no matter how carefully I remove the outer cap the spray nozzle comes off too - it seems to be a manufacturing problem. Having to re-fit the nozzle each time makes them a bit fiddly and messy to use. I hope the contents work! --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.be/products/85693050-multi-insect-killer-x-2-aerosols-300-ml-kills-most](https://www.desertcart.be/products/85693050-multi-insect-killer-x-2-aerosols-300-ml-kills-most) --- *Product available on Desertcart Belgium* *Store origin: BE* *Last updated: 2026-10-21*
