The Lap King Lap Desk - Red - The Ultimate Lap Desk

Great lap desk. Beanbag filled cushion molds to your legs or table - you can smush it to angle for your laptop, or on your lap for eating tray, or doing puzzles, reading, writing. Lightweight and attractive. The pillow "buttons" with loops and protruding buttons on the hard top. You unbutton them (six) to flip the hard surface from bubble surface to smooth surface. My elderly mother likes the bubble side, rests her Thomas Joseph crossword puzzle books on it (check them out on Amazon, largeprint), puts her snack tray on it. I use it for my PC and snack tray. Absolutely great lap desk. Only drawback would be that there is not a removeable, washable cover on the cushion part so you would have to spotclean as it grew dingy. But that's the case with all lap desk pillows.

5 Stars for Comfort. Just the right amount of cush, in the right places, and easy to adjust. I've had several other lap desks, and don't like the ones with a 'bar' of cushioning in the front and one in back; those are hard on my legs. Design of this one has no 'break' in the cushion which is more comfortable for me.1 Star for the Tray top... really, what is up with 1) the little bumps, and 2) the slickness of both sides of the tray top? Between the tray top and the bottom of my 15" MacBook Pro, I use one of these: Cool Lift Portable Notebook Cooling Pad by HandStands (which you can get on Amazon, cheap and really keeps computer cool). This helps but still I have to be careful so the computer doesn't slide off the tray top. The *size* of the tray top, however, is just right; I don't use a mouse and prefer a smaller lap desk. My 15" MacBook Pro fits just fine. (A 17" might be too big for this lap desk.)I plan to add another layer to avoid slippage, using a piece of non-slip rug padding (I have some around here somewhere). I'm pretty sure this will solve the slippery issue.Why 4 whole stars? Because the comfort outweighs the problem with the tray top surface. It's so very comfortable now to sit for long stretches on my sofa and work!

Its small, its slippery, and it has non-rounded edges (on the flat side). It may be useful as something, but being a lap desk is not one of them. The top part is just plain vanilla plastic, the top appears to me made of a texture whose intent is to make things not slide around when placed on it. This is a not at all what actually happens. Instead a laptop when placed on the surface slides around like crazy. The top can be flipped over to the flat side which has a small lip running around the perimeter, this lip is very sharp on the wrists, and even with it, my laptop still attempts to escape. The pillowed bottom seems fine, though I think that the cleverness of it trying to double as a neck pillow works against it and makes it less comfortable than it could be, then again maybe it is just the constant gyrations necessary to keep a laptop in place on top of this thing that makes it so uncomfortable.

It's not as great as they make it sound. My laptop and everything I set on the lap king slides off unless I put a towel or blanket on top of it. I was hoping the knobby part of the desk top would help things from sliding off or moving so easily. But in all reality the rubber feet on my laptop work better on a completely flat surface. The lap part is comfortable like a bean bag.

I was so excited to try this Lap King Lap Desk but when I got it I was a little disappointed. I really did like the Foam Beads on the bottom to sit on a Lap & surface but, I didn't like the top at all ( it is ALL Plastic & NO Slip Guards), so every time I want or move, my Laptop slips off. The one plus side this Lap Desk is that you can remove the Desk portion & use the Bottom half for the comfortable Foam Beads to rest on & use as a booster.

This lap king desk is very useful. You can use it for anything that you want to have support for, even while watching tv. So it is not just for an Ipad, which was the reason why i purchased two of them in red and blue. True colors too.I would recommend it. Thank you.

I like it, however, it's much too big thus will not meet my needs. I, therefore, have to return it, but not because I didn't like it. I feel it's a good quality item, but given what I do for a living I have to document in my car off/on all day on the patients I see & it's, unfortunately, much too large for the space I have in the drivers seat of my car.

This is a piece of junk. The black top is made of cheap plastic and your laptop slips all over the place. The photo makes it look like grippy rubber but it's not. How can you even call this a lap desk? Anything you put on it will slide right off
