Plastic covering wears out quickly
We have two Dutch Shepherds and they absolutely love this thing. The post holder that comes with it is insufficient. I had to use a steel pipe ( see it partially sticking out of the ground) , about three feet long and hammer into ground. The constant pulling and tugging by the dogs weakens the ground around the pipe, eventually pulling it out of the ground. The plastic that wraps around the rope. Which is secured to the fiberglass rod wore out quickly. I replied using duct tape.Overall, it’s a decent product that will keep your dog entertained. It will wear quickly though, with constant use.

great product not so great customer service
my pitbull normally destroys any toy i get him so he basically only has bones. But this actually has lasted!! The only issue I have is the first day when we used it, with in about 7 mins the rope toy attachment knot came undone. I emailed the company, like the message said to do when I tried to call & have not heard back from them yet. I asked that they please replace it since we literally just got it - I also sent pics of it just to show that it was not all chewed up. I even ordered 3 more attachments. I emailed them I'd say about a month ago now. So, far, customer service is not that great, love the product, durable, my dog loves it, I'm just not getting anywhere with customer service. 5 stars for product, 0-1 star for customer service

Definitely a needed toy for any dog
The media could not be loaded. OK so I’ve bought three of these but that’s only because as my dog has grown up I’ve needed to get a more sturdy one depending on size/weight as recommended by company. The first one I got was when my puppy was two months old...She ended up pulling it up/out and shredding it Which was my mistake because I didn’t put the pole holder all the way into the ground and I chose a bad spot of dirt that was really soft. Because you have to be extra careful of placement and inserting all the way, I gave sturdiness only four stars. second was a replacement for that one. And then my third purchase was recently because my dog is now over 60 pounds and very strong and needed the large heavy duty one. It’s an awesome toy, she plays with it every day. What are the things that I like to do with her is I take the pull out of the holder and kind of swing around the rope and she tries to jump and get it and she absolutely loves that. So I feel this is a dual purpose toy. I only uploaded a video of the one when she was a puppy I will try and update my review soon with a more recent video.

Not indestructible
My 7 month Belgian Malinois pulled it out of the ground the 1st day, chewed off the black plastic around the pole and is currently working on the tether. My son drove the steel spike deep into the ground but my pup pulled it out 1st day and somehow managed to get it thru her dog door and into the kitchen. I put the pole back into the holder and she has pulled on it vigorously so now its leaning. I bought the one for 70 lbs dogs, my pup is 50 lbs right now. Considering encasing the pole in cement.

Poor design and materials.
The rod appears to be sturdy. The aluminum 1 foot stake you hammer into the ground is a joke and makes this product not worth the money. It deforms and splinters. Once this happened I had to try and find a way to remove it out of the ground cutting myself in process. I'm truly disappointed in the company for not going the extra mile to ensure a flawless product.

Fun
My enthusiastic tugowar player loves this! I got it to distract him from digging out of boredom and it worked. Every time he goes outside he is sure to spend some time tugging away at it. He did manage to tilt it over a little bit when the ground was very soft after many many days of solid rain. But he didn't upend it. The ground is frozen now. In the spring we will move it to an area with better drainage so the ground won't be as soft after days and days of rain. Golden doodle paw of approval!

Be smart on the install, seems like a lot of folks aren't.
I read a lot of reviews saying they were not satisfied, as the stake was bent pounding it in. Wrong! If you hit the metal stake directly with a mallet expect it to happen. Put a piece of 2x6 over the stake and hit that, and it went into the ground fine. Have hard earth, soak the area with water first, then pound it in.Dogs love the toy, took them a few days to figure out to turn and pull, but now they are having fun. Best part is, you can replace the rope if it gets chewed to bad.Good buy!

Dogs love it!
Piece that you put in the ground works but for the cost should have been way more sturdy. Make sure it is all the way in the ground first attempt they pulled the whole thing out. The way the rope comes attached they also had that off in the first 15 minutes, we just tied knots on both ends and re clipped it on so now if they pull on top by clip it just slides to the bottom! Definitely go with the bigger dog one. We have 3 dogs but mainly bought for our 60 lb pitty I dont know the big difference between the smaller one and larger one but I think we would have been unhappy if we had gone with the one that actually fell into his weight category. Overall we are very happy and the pups love it!
