Product Description Infant massage is a simple, gentle process proven to help ease colic, digestive problems, fussiness and a host of other common discomforts in babies. Doctors worldwide have recognized the positive impact of massage on infants' well-being. In her groundbreaking research, Dr. Tiffany Field, Director of the Touch Research Center at the University of Miami, discovered that: "...[massaged babies] are more active, gain weight faster and become more efficient. It's amazing how much information is communicable in touch..." Infant Massage: The Power of Touch offers a contemporary approach to this ancient art, Ines Benedict, a licensed neuromuscular therapist, leads this step-by-step lesson in baby massage techniques. Special strokes enable caregivers to tailor the massage to each child's individual needs, and an enlightening question-answer session with a registered nurse and childbirth instructor with the Better Birth Foundation further addresses a multitude of questions about infant massage. V.I.E.W. Video is proud to present this enhanced DVD production of Infant Massage: The Power of Touch, a unique parenting resource designed to teach safe, effective massage techniques while strengthening the bonds between babies and caregivers, and contributing to the development of secure, self-confident children. Review If it's hard for you to get out to a class, but you'd like to know how to do infant massage, consider ordering a new video --Chicago Parents Newsmagazine…clearly demonstrates the basic massage strokes and then devotes special time to massage techniques… This is a gentle, compassionate, and loving presentation. Easy to follow
I love to see moms doing special things for their babies. Massage not only interests and delights babies (usually) it aids in digestion, comforts and soothes, and leads to social interaction. This DVD is easy to follow and shows moms working with their own infants. Babies really need touch. This DVD shows why and how to use our hands and heads together to nurture and support young lives and get children off to a loving and supportive start. Tiffany Fields is a research scientist who studies the benefits of touch to premature infants and all age groups. Older people need to touch infants, so this makes a perfect gift for new grandmas.

It's OK but there are better ways you can spend your money.
I sometimes pay a professional baby massage therapist to work on my little one. I have tried to save money by doing it myself and have seen several DVDs. This one is OK but for the money, try Aimee Ketchum's. She not only is a good instructor, she seems like a loving mom and is certified as a physical therapist. She also has great exercises and doesn't expect you to spend an hour at a time for the benifits of baby massage on your baby.
