My husband and I really like this book - a lot
We finally were able to order this book and we are both very happy with it. I looked at it with a very critical eye due to the negative reviews and I have to say that I cannot see what they are talking about. NOt all things are for everyone, but to cast aspersions on others that do like something another does not is sad.My son ordered other products of Pavel's and we are all impressed with his calm rationale, his professionalism and respectful approach.I am under my doctor's supervision with this book due to the severity of my health problems. He, too, is happy with this book and its approach. My advice:get it and see for yourself if it is something you can commit to.

"Super Joints" + "Relax into Stretch" = Pain-Free Body
I foolishly injured my left shoulder a few months ago. With this injury, I lost a lot of ROM on my left shoulder, I suffered sudden and sharp pain, and the usual "frozen" joint syndrome. I picked up a copy of Pavel's "Super Joints" book; I had heard of this book before but, frankly, didn't give it much attention. Well, with the injury in mind, I gave SJ a second more thorough look. I decided to try the first of the 1-17 drills. Well, surprise! Not only did my shoulder started feeling better from the first few practices, my entire body began to appreciate the daily 'recharge'. Very soon, I became addicted to SJ and I now feel like a million-bucks. The entire SJ drills are well described and easy to follow. As an additional companion, I also picked up Pavel's "Relax into Stretch." I now alternate days with SJ and RIS. On Pavel's website ... is an article on how to incorporate Tai-Chi/Qigong, even Yoga, synergistically with the SJ experience.I heartily recommend SJ for its simplicity, usefulness and practicality. One can easily add it before (or after) a weight and strength-training workout, incorporate it with body-weight only Calisthenics circuit, or a classic Russian Kettlebell program. Or ALL of it, if one is so inclined. <smile>Either way, Super Joints is an excellent program.

Good supplemental title.
A wealth of knowledge is in here, although as I've noticed with a lot of Pavel's books, there is a lot of advertising. Wade through that, and this is a great supplemental book. Not stellar on it's own. I got this with Instant Flexibility Through Mastering Muscle, Convict Conditioning, The Naked Warrior, and You Are Your Own Gym. Together, they make a powerful pack for fitness.Guess now I'm advertising...:{

I'll be needing this!
For me the subtitle "How to age gracefully" is more appropriate! I've gone through the entire book once and just might need to do it a few more times to make sure I'm doing it right!

A must buy
Loved this book. Have been doing the mobility routine from the book for about 2 months and I no longer have any elbow issues from pull-ups and my deep squat is better than ever

I have been injured a few times over the past two years. Getting old does that! Its a great book! I bought the Relax into Stretch as well and very happy with both.

This book is divided into two parts. Part one deals with exercises for strengthening joints. Part two focuses on more intense athletic exercise.Good pictoral illustations, some text provides limited instructions.Helpful book. Reader needs to have clear understanding of own health assessment.

Another great Pavel book.
This approaches flexibility from a different angle to Pavel' other book "relax into stretch". The style of writing is terse, but informative, Pavel always gives sound reason for what he teaches. Again a very good investment for the physical culturist.

Excellent book on flexibility, and the author has an amusing writing style. Lots of knowledge in this book.
