Most small day packs are very flattering or comfortable. I'm 5'8" and 245lbs
I searched for small packs to take with me on my travels. Most small day packs are very flattering or comfortable. I'm 5'8" and 245lbs. This fits my shoulders comfortably and packs down real small, and it is possible to get it back into it's little pouch. I wanted this as a day trip/hike pack and it will do the job. Plus it will be just right for the return trip to carry any additional souvenirs and such if I have to check my luggage.

Versatile! Built to last! Love it!!!!
I love this back pack. It's my second one since my husband confiscated my first one I bought 3 yrs. ago in Colorado. It is made of a thin but strong parachute material, which allows the bag to dry fast. It holds up to 40 lbs, which I've never tested it to that limit, but have packed it pretty heavy. It makes for a great dirty clothes bag, beach tote, a day pack, a personal carry -on for airplanes, an extra souvenir bag.....etc. etc. etc. It stores away inside itself and makes it easy to bring along on any trip for an extra bag. It does NOT have pockets to carry a water bottle. Nor does it have an extra divider inside for IPads or an inside pocket big enough for a cell phone. But who cares!?! It will all fit inside just fine....if a bit cumbersome at times....if one is extremely picky on such matters. I'm not. I just pack it so the pack is easy and comfortable to carry like i would any other bag. Items really dont move around too much. I bought a second one and have told local retail stores that carry such items to start stocking this one as it is a product worth having. I love this back pack; it's my go to bag every time.

Convenient for travel
Very convenient! I love how light this is, and how easily it compacts down for travelling. It works really well as my "personal item" when flying, so I can keep just a few things at my plane seat with me. The opening to the zippered pocket is 5.5", but the pocket encompasses the entire back (a bit excessive to my taste). The small bag that the daypack folds into hangs inside, so it can be convenient for small objects (keys, chapstick, etc).

but don't feel like hauling around a bag "just in case"
I just got this pack so honestly, I will not have used it till mid-April 2016. I will say that is appears to be a surprisingly quality piece: extremely light durable and for it's small size (about the same size as a normally small day-pack) it will hold a LOT, including your 13" laptop! Don't expect some sort of padded suspension system or arm straps: you're not going to get 'em. Arm straps are made of the same "flimsy" parachute nylon: incredibly light, incredibly strong!! More amazingly, in stows away in it's attached stuff-sack which, fully stowed, ends up to be about the size of a baseball. This is a must for anyone using a backpack or travel pack with out its own, detachable day-pack or on shopping excursions during which you don't know if you'll buy anything or not, but don't feel like hauling around a bag "just in case". Well done Track Light, for sure -- you've got a new customer!!

Light and Packable
I stumbled upon this pack through an outdoor gear website and drawn to the lightweight and durable construction in the description I purchased one for an upcoming vacation that includes a day trip to where I think it will be quite beneficial. While I have not yet used it, I am impressed with the packable size and look forward to many years of use.

Take a hike, save a back!
I have back problems, but love to go on hikes. Many backpacks add extra weight to whatever I need to carry. I used the Trek Light Gear Bindle Backpack everyday on a two-week walking trip in Australia. The weight was perfect, and the straps were comfortable all day long. I loved that at the end of the day I could hand wash this bag, and it would be ready to go the next day. I also love how easy it is to roll this bag up and carry it in my luggage. I think I may need to get some more in different colors. (Although the gray was perfect as a unisex bag. It got that towards the end of our trip I had to make sure my husband wasn't trying to use this bag in lieu of his heavy day pack.)

Perfect pack for tourists and urban hikers!
Love this pack! I shove my giant, heavy one-strap over-the-shoulder purse right in it if I'm doing a daytrip or being a tourist in the city; the weight is then easily distributed on two shoulders and I'm a happy urban hiker! Super lightweight, but strong. Attractive design. And folds up into itself so I can keep it stored in said giant purse all the time and have it whenever I need it. Love the huge pocket in the section of the bag that rests against my back - It's an extra safe spot to stash my wallet, phone, and camera because someone standing behind or next to me can't access it when I'm not looking. This is just what I was looking for!

but this is quickly becoming my favorite. The material is soft and sturdy (and quiet
I have several lightweight daypacks, but this is quickly becoming my favorite. The material is soft and sturdy (and quiet; the others I have make a crinkly noise when touched, but this one doesn't). The small zippered pocket on the side is another bonus as I can put my phone and keys there for easy access. The only "con" is there are no external pockets for water bottles, but I'm not sure how those would work with the bag's design and ability to fold up so small. My bag has survived a week at the beach and several outdoor festivals with no signs of wear. Here's hoping that continues!
