**Q: troubleshoot model 3251 I Added fresh batteries put the in my car - I tried them the next day and they wouldn’t light up - I changed the batteries aga**
A: Make sure you don’t have Corrosion on the springs I use my wands 5 days a week but you have to watch them when you leave them in the car.  Buttons are another weakness

**Q: What is the full length?**
A: 13" end to end (including the handle).  NOTE:  My handle is not black as pictured.  It is orange which I feel is better for visibility.  Also, many months after my purchase, I still stand by initial review that these are excellent.  I bought several other brands prior to these and was disappointed with the brightness and/or durability.  These do the trick and have survived several accidental drops.  I use them for traffic direction in low light situations (rain, fog, before sunrise, etc.).

Solid design and push button. Squared butt affords more control when cold with gloves on. Used for several weeks for marshalling aircraft.
