I bought this for the ceiling and north-facing wall in my living room to keep the damp patches at bay. It's a bit of a nightmare to put on the ceiling, did it on my own off a stepladder (I'm a professional decorator) and it just about killed me! It doesn't stick very well initially, which is tremendous if you hang it a bit squint but makes it helluva hard to attach a full length; hold an area with one hand and go to brush it down and the last area flops off. Definitely need a helper! Cross-lined it with 1,000 grade paper which worked fine. Cuts/slices ok but needs care; as it's so thick, it's easy to cut it a bit short in nooks and corners. That said, once it's up it's fine and the wall was no problem. There's absolutely no stretch, so on uneven old walls it tends to gap/overlap. But if it's rising damp it needs sorting,not hiding **Q: Can i wallpaper over it?** A: Yes you can wall paper over it make sure y put lots of paste on it other wise u get lots air bubbles **Q: Will this work to prevent condensation forming on a basement wall which has been tanked?** A: From my own experience I tanked an external solid wall, wall and then put this on.
