My Stihl 032AV chainsaw was getting some years on it but my local chainsaw mechanic said everything was good except the carburetor. The Lil Red Barn Stihl 032, 032AV Replacement Carburetor was a perfect retrofit, was easy to install and allowed the saw to crank up immediately.

Truly a plug and play affair, do pay attention to your torque on the carb as you can limit the functionality of the butterfly with too much torque. Using the manufacturer's specs of 1.5 turns out from a light seat on the screws, I was able to find a good setting where I obtained a low smooth idle and easy revving and clean power. I set the idle that puts an adjustment on the butterfly and balanced that with the low idle mix successfully. If you have an issue running your saw try replacing your vacuum impulse hose, ensure your compression is 120+, you may have to replace crank seals to stop an air leak or perhaps your piston to cylinder clearances have increased out of tolerance. It can be difficult to find information about older saws so good luck.

It is an exact replacement. A word of caution-make sure you look at the old carburetor and determine if it is a Tillotson or a Walbro.
