Patterns - Truly Victorian #141, 1858 Round Cage Crinoline

This pattern was incredibly simple and gave clear instructions. This crinoline cage gave me just the right amount of volume (but I do reccomend that you go to trulyvictorian.com and look up their free petticoat diagram, which also has simple and clear instructions). I am no proffesional when it comes to sewing at all, but this was one of the simplest pattern I've ever done. But the materials are a little pricy no matter where you get them.

As the pattern is written, it doesn't hold the hoops correctly... I've redesigned the pattern as a hoop dress which works much better for the modern hoops. Though it would work if you went with the plastic tubing with connectors, this pattern would work fine.

This is a paper pattern. Youre never going to get a hoop like this at this price. It also says pattern in the title. Took me 3 hours from fabric cutting to attaching tapes to the bag. Will be purchasing again. Pictures of the hoop by itself before adjustments and under the petticoat.
