Not the best but needed
I have two different cars that I use the dash cam in (winter Prius and summer Miata). You do not want to move/install the power cord more than once. I fit it behind the molding. Not elegant, but it stays put.

Expensive
In my opinion the cord is expensive for what you get but it is cheaper than buying another GArmin dash Cam. With the extra power cord, I can switch the dash cam easily between my veicles.

Works in Garmin Dashcam 55
The cable is thicker, which is a plus to me, but if you were trying to hide it, it will be more challenging than the OEM cable. On the negative side, it's not magnetized like the OEM, so it doesn't plug into the dashcam as snugly.

Extra charging cord for 2nd car
This power supply cord is identical to the cord that came with my Dash Cam 55. It allows me to transfer the camera between different cars without rethreading the cord behind dashboard trim. It was a wise purchase.
