Hair Sticks 2 Count Hand Carved Natural Sandal Wood 7 Inch Hair Stick - Natural Smell

I bought few Hair Sticks for my lady friend and she loves them, they are not secure in her hair and she doesn't wear them in public anymore, she lost one when she was running her errands and she was very upset .

These sticks smell awful but my fiance loves them! They are very unique looking and holds her waist length hair up in a bun with just one stick. Very well made!

The scent is lovely and the sticks are well-designed, with a curve to the shaft that makes it easy to scoop down and up again to pin your bun neatly in place. The general look of the sticks is good and they feel good in the hand - smooth and well polished. I give these sticks four stars instead of five because the "carved" details (which look machine-cut or laser-cut to me) are raw and unsmoothed at the edges, giving a rough, just-cut look to the shapes. They'd look a lot better with a little sanding/smoothing/polishing. Since the wood looks like it's been finished already elsewhere, it doesn't seem feasible to smooth/sand the carved shapes myself; I'm afraid I'd ruin the finish on the rest of the stick. The sticks are still pretty nice, but for the price I would have liked to see that last detail given attention.

Beautiful! But...the end of one of the sticks is split and it breaks my hair. I will only be able to use one stick...if it doesn't split also.

Pretty, but not as pretty as it is shown in the pictures...no finish/gloss to be precise.The stick with the "open" design at the top gets entangled in hair. Makes for clumsy removal...

These are quite nice sticks and the curvature allows them to be be angulated in your bun, so they stay in place better, either used together or just one. They curve inward so they don't catch on things or potentially poke you as often as straight sticks. My hair got caught in the stick with the open design, which I anticipated, but was still not fully prepared for (ouch!). I usually only use one stick anyway and the closed stick is great for that. Functionally, they are smooth, have a fine point and look nice. The beautiful and lined bag they came in was a lovely surprise. I wish I knew what they are scented with because they smell fantastic. It reminds me of a recreation of an orchid blossom. Maybe dendrobium? Not sandalwood-ish, but fantastic.

This hair stick works ok. My hair kind of slips out of and gets caught in the groves of the sticks design. I wish it can hold my hair up better, but because these are very straight my hair falls out. They smell great, if you like the smell of sandalwood. If your a person who likes to fidget and do your hair often. This will work for you. I however like to put it up and go all day without having to redo my hair often. I would rather chose these over hair ties, if you ask me though.
