You could use them to make a classic English garden hedge, or show your artistic side and try making topiary! Box is a hardy plant and suitable for all levels of experience as it is easy to grow. These Buxus plants will be posted out to you in their 9cm pots. If you wish to make a hedge, we recommend that you use six per linear metre and space them evenly at about 20cms apart We sell these plants in 10s to optimise our packaging. However, if you wish to buy more, please do ask as we have plenty in stock. The box had been handled badly and was partly squashed. Some plants had come out of their pots and soil was strewn around in the large , inner plastic bag, leaving the roots poorly protected and too dry, but after unpacking and giving a good soak, they all look very healthy and were easy to plant out. I had a previous identical order which arrived very quickly and in perfect condition, so feel this was a courier (Hermes) problem, not the fault of the sender. I was a little concerned with the packaging as all twenty plants appeared, to me, to be crammed into a box that was too small for them, but as my wife said, you don't want living plants rolling around getting damaged in the post do you! She set to work immediately, repotting them and giving them good water, although she said they were all healthy and in really good condition, roughly the size of the plant advertised, maybe slightly bigger. They spent a few weeks in the potting shed before being planted in the ground. She loves them and was only complementing them last night.
