Saluki in History, Art and Sport Hardcover – 1 May 1969

This is the definitive reference on the Saluki breed. It was written by Hope and David Waters who were the principals of Burydown, the most successful and influential affix in the breed since the early 1950s. They researched the breed, its history both ancient and worldwide, and Hope became the breed authority. A Burydown Saluki was a true prize, a top quality dog for show, coursing or companionship. Sadly both are now long gone, but this beautiful book remains, and when available it is a treasure of information and historic photos. My copy is one of my most prized possessions and all my Salukis have descended in one or more lines from Burydown hounds. A must have if you can find a copy.
