More a mount than weatherproof case
OK, this mount is just that, a mount. I had imagined it was more like a case that protected or enclosed the whole camera but it’s not. So let’s describe what it is. It is a 3-sided holder with an awning in the front. There is nothing to enclose the bottom of the camera, and the side-cover is fastened to the camera with edges that clip under the camera between the camera body and the built-in grey base.Installing the holder/mount is a two-step process. First you slide the camera in from below and then you clip the “roof” or lid over the camera. This assembly can then be screwed on to the wall bracket that comes included.I think this is fine if you’re going to place the camera outdoors but not directly under rain or snow. I don’t think this mount gives it enough protection from direct elements… Under the eaves of a house, on in a porch should be perfectly fine.Lastly, the 360 degree swivel mount is not that good. Yes it rotates 360 degrees, but the tilt is limited to one direction. I mean, it’s not like the mounts you see for cell phones these days where you can rotate and angle the phone in any direction you want. Because the ball-mount is not directly attached to the camera, you are limited to tilting it only in the direction of the slot which gives you the tilt. That makes for a funny looking angle on your camera that I think could be easily remedied with a little design tweak.

Exactly what I needed
I mounted my Wyze cam outside looking over my garage/driveway. I just coated this with a quick layer of paint that matched my house color to help it blend in. It does a great job keeping glare and weather off of the camera for a clearer view.Installation was a snap. You literally pop the camera in and you're ready to go. The cable and vents in the rear are covered and protected as well.

Nice gadget for the money
I really like this camera. It gives a nice clear picture. I can go back and review footage. I discovered that my neighbor had his car towed in the middle of the night. I have had to tinker with the notifications, as the camera is sometimes too sensitive and then misses some other motion. I now have it set to make a notification of everything, and turned the notifications off on my phone. I can still go back and review them if needed. The best part of the camera is that it comes with no monthly subscription. Yea. Money Saved!! I bought the additional water resistant case, and placed under the front porch. Seems to hold up.

Works just fine for WYZE camera outside
Easy to mount, camera fit great, snapped in. (I do wonder about taking camera out so I can retrieve micro SD card) But this has been out in rain and snow and seems to be working great.

Not really weatherproof, but a cover for the camera.
My primary purpose for buying this device was to get an adjustable mount for my Wyze camera that is an alternative to the sticky ring that comes with the camera. I knew it would not be "weatherproof" when I bought it. It keeps the bird droppings and gecko crap off the top of the camera. However, I would never expose it rain. All three of mine are tucked under the rafters or mounted in a covered walkway. I also was not confident that the camera was held in securely enough by the plastic clips of the housing. So, I wrapped an electrical tie wrap around the whole thing for added peace of mind. Does nothing for the looks, but it's not going to fall out. The base plastic will probably crack eventually, but there are three screws holding it on. If I get a couple of years out of it, I'm fine. If it outlasts the camera, I'm really fine. I've read about corrosion of the metal ball joint and other metal parts, so I rubbed those parts down with WD-40. I also looked at the nearly fully enclosed version made by another supplier for a similar price. I would have gone with that except that I'm concerned about the camera temperature being constantly elevated. Don't need anything else going on that might shorten the life of the cameras, which I'm not too sure about as it is. However, given that my total cost for each camera installation is less than $40, I'm OK with a few imperfections. I have not experienced a night vision problem associated with the cover as far as I can tell. If it was to be a problem, I was prepared to blacken the part that protrudes over the camera lens with a sharpie.

Keeps cam completely dry ...
Placed this on the side of my home and tried it out in direct rain and it kept it dry and no worries about it getting wet.... Great product....

Easy to install and use
Really great product at a fraction of the popular option available. It did what we needed it to, and helped us see what was going on in and behind our backyard. Sometimes it's a little too sensitive, but we just adjust the level we want to trigger notifications. We have it located under the overhang so we can't speak for it's waterproof abilities. Easy to install, easy to use, can't beat the price!

Great cover!
I found this cover to be perfect for my use. I hung it outside to track a skunk that had taken up residence under my front porch. This cover allowd me to put the camera outside (in the rain) and see what was happening at night. The cover is well designed and easy to use. I paired it with a 25 ft power cable for ease of mounting. Very pleased with the cover.

it works.
I have now purchased three of these camera covers and they really work. I bought my first one to give it a try thinking that if it can withstand the bad weather in the North West it will pass the test. I therefore tried the first one out for almost a year, through winter, spring and summer and it sailed through the rigours of what was thrown at it. When you see one at first you cannot be blamed for being sceptical, its a simple plastic (but well made) case with a wall bracket however the case is so well designed it does keep rain and snow from attacking the camera. All three now being used outside with no problems at all. would recommend these cases to all

Not Weather proof !!!
it is advertised as weatherproof. That is NOT true. It basically gives a little bit of physical protection, but absolutely no protection against rain, snow, moisture etc.

Really enhanced the use of the product
This has enabled me to use the product outside by fixing it to the wall high up. It doesnt cover the whole product so weather proof I am not so sure - winter will tell, however it gives me full use of the night vision element of the camera which I couldnt use inside the house looking out due to the reflection in the window. Only problem is the notifications when a bug is attracted to the night vision light as they navigate towards it - that said some great nightvision bug close ups...

Good idea.
It's a good idea but you've still got to get the power to the camera. I don't think I'll use itit's easier to get external cameras.

Item works as it should,but....
Easy item to fit, I now have three of them outside, the only problem I've found is the white Item works as it should, but discoloured from the sun very quickly, but I've not tried the black equivalent.....still worth the money
