A lot easier to use and store! There are times when you need those big, heavy strap ratchet types to tie down things, but there are also times when the rope ratchets are better to use. I have both, and I use the rope ratchet more often than the other. During the spring and summer, I have a gazebo that we put up. These are used to tie down the corner posts. I rarely ever have to adjust them, but when I do, all it takes is a pull on the rope and it's done. I also use them to tie down light items in my truck when the need arises. Love the storage bags for when they're not in use...makes it so everything is together and a lot easier to find! GREAT buy!

I Ordered this product twice from Amazon but the carrier refused to ship the item to my country. I was contacted by JaP Products whereby they sympathized with my situation and actually sent me a set of HandyOne ratchets for FREE. They arrived in 4 days and have since been tested and found to be a strong as promised. I am not suggesting that these straps are unbreakable but I am not a small person and I pulled against the locked ratchet with all my strength and it didn't even look like slipping. Highly recommended for both product quality and outstanding customer service.

This pair of ratcheting tie-downs is exactly what I was looking for to secure a small awning on my camp trailer. If I'm camped where I can't drive stakes in the ground, I just use these with a water jug, tool box or ?? Shipping time was quick, & they were exactly as described. The cord supplied was adequate for my need. Something like Para cord but not as strong. For serious use I'd substitute the real thing. I had to take off one star because of the design of the carabiner hooks supplied. The spring loaded gate is stiff & they're small so it's very difficult to hook them. Maybe if my fingers were smaller it might not be a problem. I just hook them through the eyes of the hooks supplied & got 2 more of the same kind of hook for the other end.

Still not sure if I really like it or not. I am on the fence.

I had no issues transporting drawers and furniture on my truck using these tie downs only. At first I was worried if these would hold up during turns or a bump in the road. I pulled pretty hard on them to get the slack out and tighten it as much as possible. I had no issues with all three so far. They are very compact and convenient.

It is built well, packed small, and durable. Like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it. This is part of my emergency supplies in my truck that is used for occasions when you are supprised by accidents or weather, helping a stranded traveler, or just hanging your dead body in the woods so the neighbors dont see. I believe in preparing for disaster in order to prevent it.

I bought this in order to be able to lower a plant to a height where I could water it. The mechanism release latch is above the plant so I would still have to climb a ladder to lower it. It is a useless device that is misrepresented.

These were ok tie downs but the whole mechanism depended on plastic to hold it all together. I sent it back.I recieved a note from JaP products and was told that my statement about the whole mechanism depends on plastic was incorrect. Im up grading my review of these tie downs to four starts as they are constructed of composite material according to the CEO of JaP. Being aware of how good composite material is I know that these tie downs are probably much better than I initially thought. I stand corrected and I apologize to JaP CEO and to the company as a whole for my incorrect statement.
