APDI 7013464 A/C Condenser

I own a 91 bmw 318ic (E30) and although it was converted to R134A before I purchased it, the car struggled in the hot florida summers to maintain a 50-55 degree discharge air vent temperature. This was due prior owner using the original condenser and compressor. I recently did a complete system swap where I installed new condenser, evaporator, compressor, expansion valve and dryer along with a new electric fan out of a bmw 750. This made a world of a difference with air vent temperatures hovering around 38 to 40 degrees F. The compressor now cycles on/off due to the ac system monitoring evaporator temperature and cycling off when it gets near freezing all while sitting at idle. Installation was relatively easy. Well worth the time and expense. Very happy with purchase.

Although the condenser functions, the bottom fitting was not welded at the correct angle - didn’t want to risk damaging the coil by bending it to a proper 90° angle, so the fitment was somewhat challenging.

I installed this on my 1986 325e, replacing the old serpentine condenser in the R134a retrofitted system. After an evac and recharge, the system works great and blows colder than it did before. Great product!

works perfect. Comes as straight aluminum which is fine because aluminum creates it's own oxidation barrier. You can paint if you want to. A/C now blows cold on the R134a upgrade.

the condenser is not even close to what appears in the photo. it's a total joke. it looks very poor quality. Do not buy for any reason.

Perfect upgrade for an e30 a/c update. With a strong puller fan my a/c runs very cool now.

Its not black, showed up silver and un-coated. The construction of it is a little different, but the fan fits perfectly and the ports line up like they should. Remember to hold onto the rubber fan grommets before chunking the old one. Will need to swap them to this condenser.

Good fit and perfect for usage of an R134a retrofit on the E30 chassis.
