Not really a guide at all
I agree with an earlier reviewer, in fact, because it was so accurate I will basically plagarize. Disappointing ...not a full book, but" a 42-page booklet from which I learned absolutely nothing. Most of the book is taken up by personal stories - which can be helpful when you are facing a new diagnosis, and need to understand what your life might be like. However, this book entirely fails at being "A Guide to Living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome". This book offers zero practical advice on how to deal with the daily difficulties of EDS".If you want to see anecdotes of other's journey this is fine. If you want help figuring out how to deal with this, this booklet won't do it. I'm a very faith-centered person, but just trust in God is not enough for me, in terms of guidance. Granted it was inexpensive, by buying these resources adds up and this just wasn't helpful to me.

Disappointing read
I was quite disappointed in this book. The information in this book can easily be found in other places and there is too much emphasis on reliance on Christianity as a way of dealing with this disease. In my opinion, while spirituality can certainly be helpful in coping with chronic disease, I felt the author was too adamant that her brand of spirituality/religion was the only way to cope and have hope. Also, the book is quite short.

Very informative
. buff :/ faI enjoyed this book. it was an easy read and very informative. the writer gives both the EDSer and those who live with, or are associated with one who suffer the day to day challenges of EDS. God plays a big role in the writers life. this is the greatest form of support there is. God never promised anyone a life without challenges and trials. the book finally helps me to understand this disorder. bravo!ssociated with one who deals

Encouragement to think Zebras. All hoof beats are not horses.
This is less a "help" book than it is a testimony to the very worst of this disease. There are some helpful passages to the rest of us. I left it with a prayer the author would be at peace from writing it.

Good Resource for the EDS patient
This is a good resource for the EDS patient, especially the recently diagnosed. She is realistic, but also positive. Also she mentions her source of strength, The Lord Jesus. She also includes other resources. Recommended.

Interesting read. Gave many examples of those who are coping with EDS. Love the Bible verses added and the Christian encouragement. I will try using some of what I read with my daughter who is 15.

Completely useful
I haven't read a book in 4 yrs, but i saw that this book was out there for free and I myself suffer from EDS, ( the same subtype as the author), and I can completely relate in most ways to her struggles. There were a few spots of information about the history on EDS that were interesting and also it was nice to learn about coping. GREAT BOOK!!!

Narrow but good account of EDS
This book has short descriptions of personal experiences with EDS. I felt the Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos stories were accurate and helpful for those who are just finding out about EDS.

Sorry, a bit disappointing
It was an interesting read, but I think the information is available for free on support websites where you can read personal stories from people suffering with this condition.

Informative
Great read for people newly diagnosed like myself.I only wish it was longer and had more examples. Some content comes across as slightly patronizing.

Insightful in parts.
I found the book overall to be quite insightful to people's coping mechanisms with EDS. On the other hand as someone who isn't particularly spiritual I did find those parts including religion to be a bit tedious. Each to their own I suppose.
