This works great if you read the instructions.
This was great--inexpensive, and saved me a few hundred at the dealer. (They won't top off refrigerant, they'll do a full cycle and fill.) I had seen some reviews so I was skeptical of if this would work, but I noticed one common theme people mentioned was that this gave an incomplete seal on the can and was difficult to attach. That's correct if you don't read the item description. Contrary to what you expect, you attach this to your can of refrigerant with a counter-clockwise motion. Easy-peasy, I attached it to my self-sealing can of refrigerant a couple of times with no issue. I went from an AC blowing out 80 degree air (ambient outside temp) to about 42 degree air in a matter of minutes with the help of this gauge. I definitely recommend it.

It works as intended
Based on all the mixed reviews I felt compelled to leave one of my one. I just wrapped up charging a 18 Chevy Cruze after replacing a damaged condenser. 1st thing to remember is that this is REVERSE THREAD. I'm guessing many of the reviews are based on people trying to screw on the can of refrigerant the same way they would R134. That said, I could tell the threads aren't stellar quality and found it helpful to screw on the can upside down to ensure I had good alignment. 2nd - the hose is pretty short. Keep this in mind when you order. An extra 6-8" would have been great. 3rd - I didn't see in the description whether this would work for the self seal cans but it did work for me. Turn the valve until you feel the can get cold from refrigerant coming out then maybe one more 1/2 turn.I dropped one star on the review because I don't see this lasting very long based on the feel. If I get 4 uses out of it I will be happy.

Fits 2014 models and up
This will fit for a 2014 Jeep Cherokee traihawk. I had to do research and found out models that are 2014 and up are going to have a 1234yf fitting due to the manufacturing wanting it to be eco friendly. This will fit no problem to your vehicle if it has a 1234yf fitting to it.

Great product
So happy with this product. It came a day sooner than expected and apparently the only one that can fit my car and no store even sells it, so that was super awesome.

It fit great on my Honda
It fit perfect on my 2016 Honda Civic. I thought the fit wasn’t good but you have to make sure u pull the blue part. I’m so glad I didn’t spend $400 at Honda.

This is a tad below bare minimum
Perspective... The dealership wanted $350 to recharge my ac system. This item plus a can of refrigerant cost me under $40 on my doorstep the next day and it took 15 minutes to do. Great. That being said, let's look at what the possible implications for you, the person thinking about buying, might suffer. This is made with cheap cut rate materials with absolutely terrible fabrication. Most notably, the can tap. It was threaded as if they used a pointed rock to complete the task. I fiddled with it for 10 minutes, carefully threading the can then *doink* the can would go cockeyed in the seat and begin to crossthread. I would then backoff and repeat over and over. (See attached image)After several minutes I figured just jam it on. Hoping the seal would hold and consider this whole experience a one time use. Luckily it maintained a seal and I was able to pressurize and recharge the AC in my Jeep. I got lucky. It could have easily not sealed, the can was tilted way off axis in the tap. I threw the whole thing in the trash after sealing the tubing and ports with silicone and putting the whole thing in a canister. There are only two reasons to buy this: 1) if you don't have the money to buy a better kit, or 2) if this is the only kit you can get to your doorstep super fast. This kit is a last ditch option. If you have any other choice buy something else. It can NOT be worse than this. Because there is a good chance that if you buy this one it may not work anyway.
