Perfect Tear Paper Towel Holder (Bronze)

I am very pleased with this paper towel holder. It makes it easy to tear the paper towels with one hand because of the ratchet mechanism. It also has a beautiful finish which matches the faucet in my kitchen.

Here is the reason I returned two of them: The pimple-faced teenager living in his mother's basement who designed these failed to put enough weight into the base. I'm tired of dragging the apparatus and towels across the counter tops. Enough!

This was wonderful until it wasn't... I got this for our new home two years ago after having the wall mount version at our old home. I loved the wall mount one. This one was great at first. I set it near the sink, where one would usually keep paper towels. The tiny drips of water that fell onto the stainless steel caused it to rust and bust apart within only a couple months. The steel base was split open about every inch, all the way across the bottom leaving maybe 20 splits in the base, all covered in rust. It was jagged and super dangerous. I kept on using it because it was functional, but I finally tossed it and replaced it with a different one that looks more promising on the design. Not sure what caused stainless steel to bust to pieces and rust, but it's totally not cool. If you're not planning to use this anywhere near water, it's a great, sturdy holder. It held every brand and size roll of paper towels I tried! I was so disappointed it didn't hold up because I loved the perfect tear each time.

This item works great. Looks nice. It does a little "clicky" sound when you unwind for a towel. The base is heavy and doesn't tip over.My only gripe is that mine has a dent on the base piece. Ehh, I just turn it so you can't see that part. Not enough energy to return it either since it is just a paper towel holder.

This is definitely not a Cuisinart product but I knew that. These specific resistance/weighted holders are all brands you've never heard of but they are great. I've had similar products in the past that seems to be heavier in weight with more resistance but this gets the job done. I'm able to pull a sheet with one hand and little effort. Don't get the OXO or simplehuman, those products just look nicer but not practical.

I didn't know that I ever needed to tear paper towels with one hand, but now I do. Sometimes with select a size, I accidentally tear two pieces off instead of one, but still, it works. I didn't understand how it worked before I bought it but, basically: the bar only spins in one direction, so you pull it out a little, then switch directions to tear it off. I'm still not explaining it right but it works. I like that it's heavy so it doesn't fall over.

Is perfect color to match my oil rubbed bronze kitchen. Love its weight that allows you to tear off only one sheet. Roll slides over the top - no need to remove anything to put on or take off a paper towel roll. Love it! Looked for a long time to find a sturdy, dark brown, affordable paper towel holder. This is it!

I love this paper towel holder. It does what it's supposed to do. The paper towels fit snugly on the holder so that you can easily rip off only 1 sheet. It has a decent weight to it so it won't fall over and the bronze finish is well done. Highly recommend.
