Perry Ferrell's Inception
Inasmuch as this was his first band anyway. Psi-Com is a great album that you will feel lucky to have in your collection. I'm honestly a bit surprised that copies are still circulating. To my knowledge, Perry Ferrell and company have never sought out a re-pressing of the album, and this was pre Janes Addiction, so I can't imagine there are very many copies left out there (physical copies anyway). Buy it and hang onto it. It's an underground classic.

The sound quality of this album is terrible , but if you are a huge Perry Farrel fan as I am , you have to get it - you know you do .

pre-Jane
This cd shows that Perry Farrell(hope I didn't spell that as horribly wrong as I think I did) has always been great. Xiola is probably my favorite song that he's ever recorded. The rest of the album oddly enough reminds me of the Birthday Party and I'm not quite certain if it's just my imagination or an actual influence on the song writers that shined through. It's really quite good, so even if you don't like Jane's Addiction you might want to look into it. After all, if you didn't see him in the credits you might not even know it was Perry singing on this thing.

Absolutely amazing
If you think you love Jane's Addiction and Porno For Pyros, check out Psi-Com. This CD is an amazing 5-song testament to Perry Farrell's unique visions. While it takes a bit to get used to (Perry sounds like Peter Murphy from Bauhaus on this CD!), it is a rewarding and thoroughly enjoyable experience. Anyone who likes art rock or goth rock will love Psi-Com.

If you like goth you'll want this one.
I can't really say that I ever got into goth. But if you enjoy it, this is definately something to add to your collection. Perry Farrell and Michael Patton are two of the greats that came from this era. Both are willing to try anything and have shown over the years their abilities to basically succeed at anything they do. Patton is not on this album, but if you love music you must seek Patton's work as well.

let's not forget the band ...
People talkin' 'bout Perry's eveolution and how this release gives a cool perspective but I gotta say the guitar work is real hip too. Angular riffs and licks that make this pretty cool even when you forget who is singing. Oh but yes Perry's voice is wild over this type of music. Enjoy.
