The Lone Ranger (Little Golden Book) Hardcover – Picture Book, May 14, 2013

I grew up watching the lone ranger, and always loved him, for being the kind person he was, he truly was my role model, and I never missed his show, back in the days of black and white tv..........and now sixty years later, i Introduced the mysterious masked man, to my soon to be 3 year old Grand Nephew, thru this wonderful little golden book, and he loves it!!! ............he always askes me to read it to him, and I always enjoy reading to him!!.....it brings back the times of good conquers over evil,, and surely is so much better then the garbage, that children are exposed to today. If you have little ones or grand children, i reccomend this wonderful book, for its beautiful Illustrations, and wonderful story..you and the children will love it......

I bought this book because my youngest son, as his school's Halloween costume party rules required him to bring a book that had his costume choice as a character. It would have been difficult to find a classic like this without Amazon's help.The book is a classic children's book, and as such, it is written somewhat archaically compared to modern children's books. Instead of taking away stars for this as some reviewers have, it seems a perfect way to introduce a young child to the concept that English is a living language that evolves over time. There is no way that I can see this as a disadvantage.Great purchase, and my son has placed this book in a prominent position on his bookshelf, because he loves how "old" it is.

The almost 40 yr old book was in better shape than expected. It was well packaged and it arrived in a timely manner.

I purchased this for a Christmas gift. I love this book --after looking at it I can remember this book as a child. It was published in 1956. Yes, the pictures are from that era, as well as the story. It may be old school but nothing is wrong with that. I am sure my grandson will love it. I purchased it to go with the Lone Ranger Lego set I also bought him. It makes a great gift set. It is a Little Golden Book and that means quality. It is a classic book with a classic story -- the good guys win!

Love these little books my parents and grandparents read them to me. I now read it to my grandson. These books are perfect because a 3-5 yr olds attention span is short and these books are just right in length. However my one beef is I wish they would update the verbage to todays vocabulary. Some of the text is written in the way people spoke in the 30s and 40s. I have simply inserted modern language in it to fit my desires for modern vocabulary in those instances which it occurs, so one can overcome it in that way while reading to a child..

It’s a good, classic, wholesome book. Definitely recommend

My five year old grandson loved getting this book for his birthday! The Lone Ranger movie and TV episodes are a little advanced for him, but this book is just right.

As a child I had a copy of this book but later on younger children wrecked it; I am thrilled to be able to get a pristine copy after all these years. The artwork is excellent and the story is fun. Overall it's fabulous and I hope a whole new generation will benefit like I did.
