I didn't enjoy this quite as much as other Diane Chamberlains novels
I didn't enjoy this quite as much as other Diane Chamberlains novels. When the lead character was a teenager the story was very good and you got to know the characters indept. However I couldn't connect with the adult character at all. I found her to be very immature and the ending seemed rushed trying to tie up loose ends.

Good but not great.
Story entertaining & flowed well; just didn't think it was as good as all the hype.

life is messy!!!
The epitome of the book is a reminder no one’s life is perfect and no matter where we started in life we get to choose who we become… life is messy… everyone’s life is messy!! Just a truth! Fab book that was hard to put down well worth the read

Great family drama
Was I love with the beautiful father daughter relationship shown in this story. Molly was such a lovely daddy's little girl, that when I started to get a hint of where the story was heading, I felt aweful.

Beautifully written story
This is the first book I've read from the author, but definitely won't be the last. Beautifully written story, especially the chapters set in the past, which were evocative and moving. It was slightly harder to relate to Molly's present day scenario, only because I couldn't imagine myself being generous enough to accept an 'open adoption' and all it would entail, but it certainly made me think. I loved the concept of 'pretending to dance' and also the way that fourteen-year-old Molly couldn't quite see what was going on around her while she embraced her own awakening. There's so much to praise about this novel, I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoys a compassionate and emotionally complex family drama with plenty of heart.

Good but slow
Well written engrossing novel, alternating between past and present events in a way that works well. The storyline is good too, it draws you in. So, why have I only given it 3 stars you may wonder? I am afraid I found the pace rather slow, had it been a little quicker I would have definitely marked it higher.
