Teresa Wentzler's Egyptian Sampler (Leisure Arts #3282) Paperback – November 1, 2001

Teresa Wentzler has stopped publishing her designs and I was so disappointed I had never bought this pattern. When I saw Amazon had it, I ordered immediately, and so should you because once this is all bought up there will be no more ! If you love Egypt and Cross Stitching this is for you!! Teresa Wentzler's patterns have blended thread(one color is two different colors thread)so when it is done it is like an old fashioned tapestry. She also uses a lot of specialty stitches. Sometime's that does take more time to do but the effect is well worth the time and effort. Everything that you would find on the wall of an Egyptian tomb is in this pattern.

The title says it all! It was difficult I stitched this in my spare time but it took me a good solid 6-9 months to finish but when I did I got LOTS of wonderful comments on it! Make no mistake Teresa Wentzler makes some complicated patterns and this is one of those but if you have the patience then it will make a very rewarding completed project!

The leaflet is beautifully put together. The instructions are clear and the graphs are beautiful. The finished product is wonderful. The individual motifs can also be used in other areas of needlework. For instance, as a rug border, or as a beaded necklace. Just beautiful.

I always love getting a new pattern for cross stitching and this one doesn't disappoint! It maybe daunting for beginners, since it is quite detailed. Will be ordering more.

Even though it took me two years to complete, this is, in my opinion, the most beautiful cross stitch pattern I have ever done. The colors are vivid and beautiful, and the beadwork adds little bits of sparkle to the design. This pattern has all of the variety of a sampler - modular blocks, lots of specialty stitches - without the obligatory cheesy phrase or block alphabet. This is a gorgeous piece, and once you finish it, you will be absolutely stunned.
