Kwik-Sew's Swim & Action Wear

This book does a very good job of explaining the mechanics of sewing swim and active wear. The reason I gave it a 4 star rating is because my copy did not have the master patterns that were with the book when it was new. I will have to go and buy swimsuit patterns to be able to make the suit examples that are in the book since the master pattern was not included in the copy I received. Please verify with your seller if the master pattern is included or not. The information can be gained easily enough online, the patterns can not.

This book is wonderful It has lots of pictures, great explanations and diagrams. I can't make anything from it since it didn't come with the patterns. It looks like a good book to learn about knitwear. Buyer be beware you maybe as unlucky as I was. Only recourse is to return the book.

This book allows me to create costumes, swim wear, & workout wear in endless combinations.

After many years of driving myself crazy looking for leotards with high-cut legs, thank God I finally ran across this pattern! It's got anything and everything for all shapes and sizes, and the instructions are as clear as can be. The only stumbling block might be that it's printed on both sides of the paper and one has to do a bit of work to find which one will be good for whatever you want. I'm so grateful I'm giving it a 5!

I bought this book because I have never sewn swimwear before, and wanted to learn so I can start making swimsuits, especially for synchronized swimming. I found this book to be a great help for getting start since all of the directions were easy to follow and the book came with patterns of different sizes. The illustrations are especially helpful, since I can see what the finished produce will look like. I highly recommend the book, especially when you are working with difficult, stretchy fabrics.

This book is a vey good specialty manual for swim and action wear. In this genre there seems to be specialties or areas of concentration. This book concentrates on the stretchier side of the field. A good book that adds to the other side of the equation. Glad I read it and added it to the library.

I haven't used the patterns as yet, but a read-through showed me this is thorough, as I have come to expect from the Kwik-Sew books. In addition to the basic shapes, it shows how to colorblock the patterns to get a lot of variety from the included basics.

This is a good book for casual stretch wear. It gives good information without being to long winded. It also includes multi -sized patterns for all the pieces in the book. Just what I needed. Shipping was fine no problems.

I have collected nearly every book I could find on sewing with lycra/spandex (and there aren't that many out there!) and this one is worth its weight in gold - it really is that good! It is written in such an informative yet accessible style that you can't help but feel confident enough to try the techniques on your next project. Thoroughly recommend it to anyone who is serious about creating professionally finished sportswear.
