Digital Compact Luggage Scale

We all know the frustration of weighing your luggage on Bathroom scales or even better... using one owns perception by lifting a luggage and saying.. " mmm.. yes. it feels like 20 pounds.....").After a brief research on different brands, price (and quality), I decided to purchase this neat little device from Amazon. It is not the most expensive one, not the cheapest.. but since this device will not so be often used (perhaps 3 times a year) I found it to be just right.We used it and indeed the difference was not more than 0.3 pounds when we arrived at the airport counter. Very easy to use.. Just hook on the belt/clips on your luggage and lift this with your hand. After a few seconds, you hear this beep.. telling you that it has finished measuring. LCD display is very clear indicating the measured weight. You can change the unit to kg.. if you so desire this.To turn it off.. it does this automatically or by keep on pressing the power button. One small detail not written on the carton instruction/package.. Do not keep on pressing the unit button. The scale goes into this "calibration mode" which is absolutely not described on the instruction carton package. I had to go to the Internet and figure out what to do when the "Calibration" mode popped up. Found out to just turn it of..This is by the way the only flaw I found from this product. It does not come with a nice instruction sheet with fully described modes of operation. Otherwise I highly recommend this product.

Great until it stops working out of the blue for no reason when you need it most. Just reads "HHHHH" and that's it. Tried everything to fix it. Software failed perhaps.

I bought this about two years ago. It was very useful and I took it along in my hand lugagge. Once there was an agent questioning my bag size and weight and I pulled out this one and weighed my luggage to show that it was below the allowance. It could weigh easily upto 60 pounds. However about two months ago, it stopped working. I changed the battery and tried, but didn't work. So I had to throw it away. I expected it to last atleast about five years as we will probably use it 2-3 times a year.

I purchased the Lewis and Clark digital scale in April 2011. The product itself was worth the money and keep us from exceeding the baggage weight established by the airline. The product arrived dirty and obviously used. I did not have time to exchange it prior to vacation so I kept it,cleaned it and simply gave it to our Room Steward upon leaving.

Wife and I traveled to Europe to help daughter move back to the USA. We needed to squeeze every possible pound into our allowed baggage. To be sure, I had calibrated the Balanzza with a 45 pound Quality Control test weight before leaving. There was no deviation. I am a frequent business traveler, but thanks to Balanzza we packed much more than I ever thought possible, and paid no excess baggage at all. A great tool for not only traveling. Well made. No issues.

This is a very easy to use luggage scale. You just snap the strap around the handle, lift and wait for it to beep to tell you that it got a good measurement. Easy, no fuss. It's also good for weighing pictures that you're hanging (really, good to weigh anything that has some kind of handle that the strap can go around).I have no way to independantly check the accuracy of its measurements but assume that it's correct.

Life saver. You can's beat eliminating the stress of weighting in at the airline counter and knowing that you won't have to pay $50 plus overweight limit fees or attempting to shift items to your carryon while everyone behind you stares a hole in your back. Worked perfectly, accurately and is great for keeping your souvenir purchases in check.

I purchased this weighing device knowing I would be making repeated trips overseas over many years, and that I would want to pack my bags to the limit on each trip. This device has made it convenient to know the weight of each bag, and it does exactly what it is meant to do. The grip on the scale is easy to use and the digital readout seems accurate (and I always weigh it several times to make sure there is consistency). Every rare while the clip that fastens around the luggage doesn't connect properly and I have to tussle to release it, but it's a minor issue. I'm happy with it and plan to travel with it for years to come.
