Prickle Moon

An absolute delight! The introduction says it all. I cannot say it any better. Each story is mesmerizingly real with characters to cheer, cry and smile over.

I always love Juliet Marillier's writing. She is one of my favorite authors. However, the book itself feels like it was printed with a self-publishing or on-demand company. It isn't my favorite packaging for her work; it feels like the book was cheap to produce. However, don't let that stop you from reading her beautiful words haha.

I am a fan of all of Juliet Marillier's books and I really enjoyed reading the interesting variety of short stories in Prickle Moon. I especially loved the story from Seven Waters which gave wonderful details on some of the characters. I recommend this book to all fantasy book lovers.

As usual with her books this is a delight to read. Lovely short stories to read to your older children or for them to read on there own.Once you have read Juliet Marillier you are hooked.

This book was amazing. I really enjoyed the short stories. At first I only wanted to read the 7 waters story. But I read the whole book and I am so glad I did. This is a book I would read again.

The best word to describe Juliet Marillier is "storyteller." Even her short stories are engaging and delightful. I'm gobbling up anything she's written that I can get my hands on now...

It is a beautiful collection of work by Juliet Marillier. I enjoyed every story and they all had their own voice.

I didnt realize it was a series of short stories. This is the only book from my fav. author that got 3 stars. :(

Oh this is such a wonderful find if you are a lover of folklore, myths and legends.I have been a fan of this author's work for a long time so was excited to recieve this in the post. The opening story involving the hedgehogs(my favorite animal) was fascinating as were the following stories throughout this unusual book. It's well worth a read and will keep you enthralled for hours.

Love this set of Tales. Really great to have in between waiting for her next release. Juliet Marrilier is so good at her craft. She takes you to another place with the right amount of magic, not too much, just enough to believe. She should be more well known, but I'm kind of glad her work hasn't been churned out into movies and all the marketing insanity - though her stories are just as compelling and her characters just as complex and loveable as others that have been turned into HollyWood blockbusters. Read. Her. Stuff. <3
