Reusable Food Storage Bags, Silicone Versatile Airtight Seal Preservation Cooking Container for Fruits Vegetables Meat (1500ml and 1000ml X3)

Insert the usual blurb about wanting to cut down on plastic here. These were my first selection for silicone bags and I am very, very pleased with them; so much so, I bought two more sets. They are strong, thick, stand up on their own, wash easily, dry easily (I turn the top bit over so that they stand up in my drainer, I don't have one of those new fangled dishwashers things LOL!!!).I did buy another make from another seller, because I just wanted some more of the smaller size and didn't need the 1.5 litre ones. However, that make had its problems. They were quite smelly (even after washing) thinner, didn't stand up so well and the slider was really difficult to get on and off. So, all silicone bags are not the same - who knew!As is the nature of the product, I won't need to buy any more of these for a while yet, but when I do, I'll come back to these ones.

My review is solely about the packaging of the silicon food storage bags. The reason I chose to buy these bags is to support the planet in reducing plastic waste, therefore I was annoyed and disheartened to open the package and find not only a large plastic wrap around the main package but that each bag was wrapped individually in a plastic bag. I know that in the long run, it will still be reducing the amount of plastic I use but isn't it unnecessary?I'm sure given the nature of the product that the distributor could have found a more environmentally friendly way of protecting it. Even if it was just the one main bag covering them all.

These silicone bags are excellent. I went for these ones despite the slightly higher price as the reviews on quality were positive and they don't disappoint. I purchased several packs which was pretty expensive but hopefully they'll last several years so the cost will break even. I really like the fact that you can stand them up to put food in them or to save space as we have a small fridge. It's a shame that you can only buy them in a mixed size pack as I would have preferred to get one large set and a few packs of the small bags at a slightly cheaper price as the large ones are huge. On the plus side there is never going to be any issue with them being too full!

I haven't had the bags long, so this cannot be an in-depth review. My impressions so far:The bags seem robust and well made. They can definitely hold liquid without leaking, and they are great in the freezer. I have used the 1.5l bag for storing frozen peas and it is working well. I don't think the silicone will ever become brittle from the cold, but time will tell if the plastic sealing clip will be the same.The plastic clip that seals the bag can be a bit difficult to remove and replace, but I found it really matters which way one slides it on. It is important to follow the arrows.Cleaning the inside of the bag is not difficult, but keeping it open while it drains and dries is more problematic. I tried keeping it open over an upturned mug, but in the end I resorted to a tea towel to wipe away the remaining water droplets.

The seal is surprisingly strong, could fit alot of food into these bags. The silicone material feels super strong I expect that these will last me a long time. Item was well packaged, would recommend purchasing these. As the ones i have purcahsed previously split down the seams after one use.

Excellent quality. Very strong. So easy to open and close and to wash. I have only used one of the bags so far to store my dog's open meat package between his lunch and evening meal. He is only small and does not devour his food in one go. I can see that the bigger bags will be useful for many other things

These are strong but rather smaller than I hoped, the largest is too small to hold an open pack of cold meat. The slide-on closer must also go on the right way, or it won't close the bag. They are useful but I will also look for a larger one.

This product is definitely a great buy. I ordered on Friday and it got delivered on Sunday by standard delivery which I was very surprised about as I didn't expect it to arrive so fast. The storage bags are strong and secure and a good size for storing your everyday edible essentials. I would recommend this product.
