Great book, but some stories skimped on details
This book was a great read and I enjoyed reading how the co-authors overcame adversity. For the most part, I was satisfied, however, there were some people in the book who didn't reveal enough information about their lives. I understand that some things are best kept untold, but this is a book that I felt was supposed to be revealing. There was a story in the book about a lady who married a guy who she thought was "Mr. Right". Mr. Right turned out to be a phony who was a child molester and a rapist. He molested his daughter, his wife's daughter, and he raped two women. The wife and daughter confronted him and he denied the truth. The wife wanted to set him up so that he would admit to his crimes. What the story failed to do was tell what happened to the child molester. There was no mention of his arrest and how much time in prison that he received for his crimes.Another story in the book describes a situation where a lady's husband left her. The person didn't give any details as to why her husband left her, but she told about how she had bed bugs and had to move into her sister's basement until the bugs were gone. I wish that the lady would've told what she did to cause her husband to leaver her. Not enough information was given and the story was vague. Overall, the book was a good read, but it left out too many details in some stories.

Worth Reading
Some of the stories were awesome, they had me in tears. It is just most all these stories were about some type of abuse. It would have been nice to see a greater variety of stories. Every story had a way to contact the authors which was a nice touch. Well worth reading.Chris WodkeAuthor Running for My Life-Winning for CMT.

Read, then ReRead!!!!!
This book is a pocket full of inspiration, I absolutely read everything and then certain stories I had to reread because it touched my spirit and gave me that glimpse of hope that we all need from time to time. Pay special attention to the contributions from Helen Delahoussaye and John McQueen - awesome, awesome. thank you Lisa Nichols!

Heartfelt Stories
This book is truly moving. One thing I've never loved about self-help books with personal narratives is the emphasis on triumph MINUS the backstory. You're rich, you're famous, you're fabulous, you're a philanthropist--that's wonderful, but how did you get there? Weren't you once just a regular human being like me?The stories in this book are from a very diverse group of people, all of whom are accomplished in some way but have also been through real trials and tribulations, some self-imposed. It was wonderful to read so many voices I connected with in their vulnerability AND strength. An inspiring read.

Great read!
I normally don't read books like this. I have ADD and it's hard for me to finish any book. A friend gave it to me, and I was surprised this book really held my attention. I wanted to read every story. The stories were captivating, heartbreaking, inspirational and I wanted more. I kept coming back to the book, and when I turned the last page, I was genuinely sad it was over (and surprised I finished a whole book!).
