**Q: does it have any where for a watter bottle**
A: yes there are two pockets on the side (one on each side)that will hold a water bottles.

**Q: Does it have a compartment specifically for a laptop?**
A: No it doesnt but it does fit a laptop that 17" plus books... Its a pretty big bag for having only 2 compartments

**Q: i am 5'11 167 pounds is 11 b(M) too small or too big for me?**
A: i'm 5'10 165 pounds it fits me just fine for a daypack i ordered it through r.e.i not here so i cant comment on service but it is an awesome pack for hikeing or school or day commuting around town at r.e.i. it's classified as a day travel daypack. here is the link to the site and description. with revews and specs. http://www.rei.com/product/833672/the-north-face-jester-daypack

**Q: is this backpack good for hiking?**
A: We haven't used it to hike but it is light, tightens down nicely and has a chest support strap to equalize weight.  There are lots of little pockets for quick access, and it is quite durable.  It is holding up to daily elementary school use, and is comfortable.
