It works!
This kit looks similar to another one being sold that has a remote with sliding cover. I got this one instead since the remote design looked cleaner. The key fob is very nice, well made, and seemingly durable. Button action is very tactile, and the body where the key ring attach hole is, is made of metal. The split ring it comes with is pretty thin but could be replaced easily. The kit instructions aren't good at all, but found invaluable info online that provided harness pinout detail (thanks fuzzy29!) and info on how to connect it up. The harness pins that actually do the locking/unlocking work, translate as follows...harness pin/(relay pin equivalent)/function8 / (87a) / normally closed (unlock)9 / (30) / common (unlock)10 / (87) / normally open (unlock)11 / (87a) / normally closed (lock)12 / (30) / common (lock)13 / (87) / normally open (lock)<search hint1: Toyotanation, ck-009, fuzzy29><search hint2: the12volt>----I have aftermarket actuators so my particular hookup was:pin 8,11 ground (same as main ground, pin 7)pin 10,13 to +12V (fused at 5A)pin 9,12 to actuator blue and green (or green/blue, can't remember..)

Worked, but...
Bought this for my Mercedes w126 chassis. Does have a jumper you can remove to make it vacuum lock-compatible. Mine didn't work so I had to take it apart and tear it off the circuit board. But don't worry about the jumper if you have electronic locks. Instructions are pretty minimal. Wouldn't recommend to a novice.I achieved a range of about 30 yards. One of the remote's circuit boards fried after a month. Been using the second one for a year with no problems though. Marker light wires work, looks nice at night. Horn wire didn't work for me. Overall, this item worked, but expect small issues if you buy a generic, low-price item like this.
