Second set I’ve bought, very sharp & perfect for slicing tomatoes!

I debated a bit about this because so few reviews. I shopped a lot for one before deciding on this one. Now that I have it, I must add a review as I am so pleased. Great quality. Sturdy. No flaws. Well made. Super price. As another mentioned the only wee draw back could be is the slots are a bit close. (I wonder if I would have even thought of that if not read here). The good news about that though is it does make it a bit more compact while still plenty of slots. I have limited space and didn't want any thing too cumbersome so works for me. A+ in my books and recommend especially for 20 dollars. Good deal. Interesting, I just noticed price went up since yesterday. Still a good value.

I got the set to replace a large santoku that I loved, I'm pleased with the smaller ones but the big one is trash, too thick, no sharp at all, just a bad large kitchen knife no good nor to cut onions.

I'm very happy with this set of knives - very sharp and a great value.

A teensy weensy bit too light and flexible compared to the other hampton forge knife i own. More of a personal preference than anything wrong with the knives.

Item is not as described. Instead of the 5pc. Mirage set pictured and described I received a 5pc. Epicure set. It contains different knives than the Mirage set and are clearly not as good of quality. (Bought these to replace an old Mirage set that belonged to a former roommate, having used those for years they are very good knives.) The knives I received are not full-tang or triple riveted and feel much lighter and flimsier than Mirage set. Not sure where the fault here lies, the Hampton Forge packaging they arrived in has them labeled as the Epicure set, yet an UPC sticker stuck to the box has it labeled as Mirage. So somewhere along the lines a mistake was made.

Sturdy block with plenty of slots. Nicely angled so knives can be easily withdrawn without bumping overhead cabinets. Priced well, perfect if you need a block for cutlery you already have.

Very sharp, maybe not the most comfortable to hold but I’d give it a 8 of 10 in comfortably and an easy 9.5 in sharpness
