We bought the Backyard Bum stainless steel straw set and added on the silicone tips in their mad assortment of colors. Glad we did so. Stainless steel conducts temperature, which is good. You get the hot or cold liquid pretty much as it is in the mug or glass, but the silicone tip keeps the chill or heat off your lips. The effect is crazy! My wife and I felt like we were in the lap of luxury with these tips. Maybe we are easy to please or should get out more, but we both agreed this was another Backyard Bum product that will become "basic kitchen gear" from here on out.I strongly recommend that you buy both the stainless steel straws and the tips together and discover what social drinking is really all about.

I like that you didn’t waste packaging them in unnecessary stiff plastic/cardboard, they were just tossed in a small ziplock bag. I haven’t tried cleaning them yet but don’t anticipate any issues. (I already have a tiny brush that came with my steel straws.) I’ve shared some with friends, too. Will amend this review if anything unexpected arises.

Got them today and returning them tonight. I'm not sure what's going on with these. The tips won't stay on. They even come off just from the pressure of the liquid coming up through the straw. Unless you have a center-hole to-go cup, the little baffles won't stay put either. Any movement of the straw, up or down, unseats the piece.

These go great with the stainless steel straws and the different colors make them fun to use. My daughter and I are both using them, and these don’t get chewed up by my daughter like plastic reusable straws do. The best part is the silencers so I can take my drink in the car without straw rattling in my cup!

I’ve had these for over a year and switch the colors out often on my medal straws and they have lasted. They are a great quality and are durable. There is NO taste to them at all. They fit my straws perfect and snug. I just use my straw cleaner to clean them.

These straws tips are great for using with my Stainless Steel straws if my drink is really cold. And the silencers they come with are perfect when I bring them in my to-go cups for the car so they don’t rattle around.The colors are really fun too!

These work great - I didn't like how the metal straws hit my teeth and these are great! I even put them on the bottom of the straw so it won't scratch the bottom of my metal thermos! There is no funky taste, come in fun colors. This product is very useful!
