Does exactly what it is supposed to do if for some reason you use a MAC
Works fine on a mid 2012 macbook air and I have used it with 64gb micro sdxc (EXFAT formatting) and 4gb micro sdhc (fat 32) class 10 cards. The adapter sticks out barely enough to grab, but it does not seem that it would be accidently pulled or knocked out as the card goes into or comes out of it's backpack-compartment. If it was being pulled out of a glove-tight neoprene sleeve I would be a little more worried but I think it would be ok. I like the fact that it is blue; I will notice if it's missing. This is only an adapter, so it's only useful for situations where a normal micro-schd-card-to-schd-card-slot adapter sticks out too far, like some macbooks and some tablets. The sdxc card bus on this laptop is just usb 2.0, so the card is slowed, but that is not the adapter's fault. More recent mac portables use the sdxc/sdhc card on a faster bus (pcie?) so the speed is better.

Micro SD card won't go inside adapter.
PRO: Adapter fits inside apple MacBook Air (Mid 2012) just perfectly. CONS: not sure if its just my unit, or others are having same issue.. but micro SD card can't go inside adapter... what a disappointment... which pretty much makes this whole thing worthless.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do!
Works EXACTLY how I would expect it to. I put a 32GB microSD card in it and slid it into my MacBook Pro SD card slot and voila, instant storage without a huge memory card hanging out the side. Yes it is still exposed by a millimeter or two but it has to be in order to pull the thing out when I want to swap out cards. Love it.

Too big
The one I received was too big and sticks out of my computer so I can't leave it in all the time. It defeats the purpose. I could just use the big one supplied with my micro sd if I had known I would get one bigger than the one in the picture

Really Good but can be better
good an practical device, but construction seems little poor and rustic. Help a lot with micro cards but still a big chuck of the adapter hanging out out the MacBook Pro. I recommended.

Perfect for MacBook Air. Not good for Yoga Pro 2.
This fits in a friend's MacBook Air Second generation perfectly. But it stuck out way too far in my Yoga Pro 2. I ended up going with the micro one with the little pull out tab for my Yoga Pro 2 and giving this to my friend, but I can't fault this listing since it says MacBook Air in the title.
