This is the neatest lamp, fully adaptable to my needs and I will be buying a couple for my grand daughters this Christmas. I love all the colors and really wish I could get a dark royal purple, but realize that is probably on me. Please realize that when you first turn it on - after charging it - it will take a few seconds for you to be able to start getting the awesome light show. But once you do - wow, its really nice. Depending on the color you like and choose, the base light is enough light to get safely through a room with no boo-boos.When you want to turn all the lights off on the lamp, there is a switch on the bottom to do so which is very convenient. There are 3 settings for the top white LED lights, all controlled by very light finger touch. Best of all, where you touch it on, the touch is in the center of the top lamp base where you won't be accidentally changing the intensity of the light all the time. I share my room with 2 birds who like to go to cage and sleep a lot earlier than I do. I put this lamp on the arm of my recliner and focus the light on my keyboard and that is where the light _is_. It doesn't bleed out to the rest of the room. I'm very happy with that, and when I hand stitch, it is sew perfect for seeing those itty bitty stitches using the medium setting. The bright setting is truly bright and I've not had occasion to use it yet, but its still early days in the Maine winter, I'm sure I will find a use for it.For gaming, or reading on the laptop, the base lighting gives a soft glow that I find relaxing and adequate for my needs.I highly recommend this light. Its extremely lightweight, and well balanced. It doesn't tip over, even sitting on the arm of my recliner. I believe that it would be an excellent addition to someone whose movement is impaired as they can use it without the cord, and also for shut-ins, and people in nursing facilities. The learning curve is very easy and if someone has a roommate they have to worry about disturbing this lamp can allay that.Go ahead, treat yourself, and someone else to one of these delightful lamps. You won't be sorry. I have bought, oh I'd say 8 different lamps, from clip-on to table top variety and even one that hangs from the ceiling, none of them have made the grade. I'm not someone who is hard to please either. I generally make the best of what I have. But your eyes and your sight are not something you want to compromise on.I also love that it comes complete with a USB charge cord, but what I find even better is that it has an electrical cord so that it is always charged and ready for where I need it. I use a sewing/embroidery machine and the most difficult part for me now that I can see 60 approaching, is threading the needle. I first purchased this lamp a few years to keep in the bedroom at night to help me read. Over time I was using this lamp more and more. I used it in the craft room, as it's quite bright to help see when working on smaller projects. I began to find more places at home to use it because it's lightweight and adjustable brightness makes it ideal in various situations. I have taken it with me on vacation or to visit friends and relatives, not knowing what the lighting situation might be for reading and not wanting to bother others in the room; this lamp was ideal! Fits neatly in a suitcase, lightweight, adjustable lighting and it's pretty sturdy. I now have 2! Highly recommended!

I'll leave the 3 stars because it was fairly inexpensive.ORIGINAL REVIEW:I've owned many of these types of lights, because I read and grade papers at night as a teacher. Here's how this light measures up to others:PROS1) Great Lighting Features: The overhead light has three settings of brightness, and the base light (night light) changes colors, including blue, purple, orange, yellow, green (the colors are intense, by the way--my video doesn't do the colors justice).2) Clever usability Concept: The white button in the center controls the overhead white light (you tap three times for three brightness settings, and then a fourth time to turn it off). The colored circle around the button controls the colored night light at the base. Run your finger around the circle and it changes colors. Other lamps of this type that I've owned have not had multiple colors at the base, so this is a plus.3) Structurally high quality: This is thick plastic, not cheap feeling like other lamps I've purchased.4) Overhead light is very flexible and twists into any needed position.5) The light can be plugged in for use or unplugged once it's charged.CONS1) Difficult to use the buttons (see video). I often have to tap multiple times just to turn it on. If I wake up in the morning groggy, it's not easy to turn on without some careful finger work and thought. I found the best way to get it to turn on is to use one finger on the center button (and even then it sometimes takes several taps to get it on). If it's dark, you'll have a difficult time finding the power button for the night light, because it's very small on the outside ring. Again, one finger in exactly the right spot is the key. Other lamps I have owned are much easier because you can just hit the top with your palm to turn on and increase intensity, and then you press your palm down on the whole thing to turn on the night light. This is much more difficult to use.2) Short charge Time: My other lamps' charges lasted for days. This light lasts a few hours and then I have to plug it back in. So now I just keep it plugged in unless I'm grading papers in bed. I just make sure it has a full charge.3) Night light colors are too intense for me. I like softer colors when I'm waking up in the middle of the night. Intense neon is not necessary. So I almost never use the night light. I would use it a lot if it were softer.Overall, a high quality light that I use a lot, but with some degree of frustration.

It is a usb charging desk lamp. Fits perfectly on my bedside end table. Colored night light. Brightness is good. Keeps its charge for a very long time. Love it.

It is fairly flimsy and not bright enough for where we needed it. Otherwise it worked as it was meant to I guess.

My daughter used this lamp for reading and homework. Lamp worked well until the reading light stopped working. The mood lighting continued to work fine. Lasted less than one year. Good concept for a lamp, did the job while it worked, expected it to last much longer.
