WESN Titanium Micro Blade Pocket Knife 1oz

Update - WESN reached out to me and they wanted to make things right (see pros and cons below). They sent me a new knife to make up for the issues I encountered with the first one. Out of the box, the new one was exactly how I wanted the first one to be. The operation was much easier, the alignment was perfect, and I didn't need to do anything out of the box. The customer service team was amazing and they genuinely wanted me to have a great experience and they stand by their products. The original one has been my daily go to knife due to the real estate in my pockets and ease of operation. I use the blade multiple times a day on things I probably should be using the right tool for, and the cutting edge has stayed as sharp as the day I got it.Pros: Great size for easy carry, so far the blade is sharp (i just got it), very clean aesthetically, very light. I used it for a couple tasks, cutting some rope, opening boxes, and it is very comfortable to use.Cons: I had to disassemble the knife and lubricate all the surfaces that move to make it easier to open the knife. It is still a little tough to open, but a lot better. When opening and closing. The blade rubs against the handle very very slightly which will probably create a mark on the blade. It does it towards the logo and it doesn't come close to touching the edge of the blade at all. A little pricey, I have the boker plus (i think magnum, see photo), that I got for $15 USD.I wanted a slightly larger, but still small jeans pocketable knife. I'm going to keep it and use it, hopefully it breaks in a lot and has a better action.

I am revisiting this review because after carrying this knife for a few weeks I have developed an appreciation for the convenience. After my initial review, I was contacted and offered a replacement but I explained that it wasnt necessary because I carry and use the knife with no problems. My recommendation for anyone who purchases and is skeptical initially but has never carried a knife this small before to take it with you for 1 week before making up your mind.

I pretty much have found this pocket knife to be a great addition to my everyday life. I was not a ‘knife guy’ or knife carrier before picking up this WESN but am now a fan of the knife and concept.The one issue I have and perhaps it has been noted in other reviews, is that when extended and supposedly locked in place, there is now some free play from fully extended. This in itself is only mildly annoying as the blade will move a little but more concerning is that the blade can be pushed closed just by exerting some force on the blade. It’s as if the alignment of the ‘lock’ when fully extended has moved in a way to allow both the free play and the retraction - the latter that could be an issue if the blade inadvertently shuts, say on a finger.Overall, a very ha day addition to the key chain. Just wish it hadn’t developed this issue.

Similar issues to others, plus more.Cons:1) Knife is loose when in the lock back position. This is unacceptable for a knife at this price point and very unsafe.2) The knife does is very hard to fold/unfold. Tightening the upper screw tightens the knife position when unfolded, but then makes it impossible to fold/unfold.3) The knife was dull out of the box.All of my issues should have been easily caught at the factory. It's clear this company has a serious quality control issue that ruins a great design in theory. It could be nobody checks the knives once assembled - who knows - the point is the knife is neither usable nor safe.Pros:1) Great design2) Great blade quality.

It is a very sturdy and compact pocket knife. It would make a great addition to anyone's EDC!

This knife is made of very high quality materials and the blade comes very sharp. I love the overall design and look of the knife however there is one glaring flaw for a knife intended for every day use. It is VERY difficult to open, even if using two hands. I'd expect an edc folder to be much more accessible. This is the only flaw I've found so far however it knocks off a lot of stars because when I buy a knife I want it to function well, not just look great.

While the concept of this knife is exactly what I'm looking for, the design needs work. The knife is very difficult to open with either the thumb or finger.

Got this knife because I like the small knives. It had an issue and to my surprise I was contacted by WESN to solve the issue. Well they sent me a brand new knife and I was able to keep the first one. There is a company that stands behind its products and truly knows what customer service really is!!
