Technasonic Check-Go Pro Sweet Spot Electronic Golf Ball Liner

This product is given unfair reviews.It works fine BUT with some modifications.I will include pictures…I added a 2nd hole for regular size Sharpie markers to fit.I have tested the accuracy against the pre-made hole & it is perfect. I have also repeated making lines on balls multiple times with identical results. See pics:If you notice smearing on the red ball, this is because I tried to stop the spinning with my finger, and I smeared the ink by accident.

Didn't find any balance points of 20 different balls tested. I had it on a level surface as the instructions said to do and replaced the batteries with brand new premium batteries. The balls just wanted to bounce around under the top. I tried to hold the product and the balls stopped bouncing but there wasn't any consistency in where the "balance points" were when I tested a few balls multiple times.

This is a great product and I don't think it matters much where you buy it from as long as you are satisfied with the price and as long as it is new. I just wanted to clear up 2 misconceptions I've been reading among these reviews.1. A small percentage of the time, cetainly less than 10%, you will encounter a golf ball where if you spin it and mark it multiple times you may find that that specific golf ball has 3 or 4 different axis. This is simply a case in which the center of gravity (COG) is so close to the actual center of the ball that the device cannot make up its mind about any single axis. This is not a fault of the device, it's just that some golf balls are near perfect. When this happens, you can be pretty sure that you've got a golf ball that needs no orienting on the green or off the tee. It's not rocket science, it's simple physics. So any claims that this device will actually show multiple axis, this is true, but only a small percentage of the time and on near perfect golf balls.2. With regard to the pens running out of ink, I tried buying some Sharpies or a similar brand called MaxPen Ultramark. After trial and error what I can best recommend when your OEM factory pen starts to run dry after a few hundred balls is that you obtain 3 things.a) A 1 oz bottle of Black India Ink (available at WalMart for about $4.)b) A hypodermic needle (in some states you need a prescription if you can't talk your pharmacist into giving you one.)c) A pair of small needle-nose pliers, the kind that are bent 45 degrees work best.With the needle nose pliers gently extract the felt tip completely from the pen. It's about 1.25" long. Using the hypodermic needle take a small amount of the ink and inject it into the body of the pen. It's a very small opening where the felt tip was removed, so a hyponeedle works best. Just a few drops or maybe a milliliter will do. Reinsert the felt tip with the needle nose pliers. It should work as good as new. Because the felt tip is so long it should last forever or until you lose the pen. I have tried this on Sharpies and other store-bought permanent marking pens and they don't seem to have the right kind of felt tip made out of the right material. I tend to get a buzzing sound from a Sharpie when the felt tip comes in contact with the spinning ball and a line on the ball that is blurry. The factory supplied pen is engineered properly and is quite conducive to painting a nice smooth line on a spinning golf ball. You can spend $15 or $16 to buy five replacement pens from the manufacturer if you want to. This is just a cheaper alternative.All-in-all this is a great product. Personally I take Ralph Maltby's advice and check all of my golf balls with Epsom Salts first to weed out the balls which are badly out of balance. I am guessing that 3 balls in 10 are badly out of balance. See Ralph Maltby's video on You Tube to understand this process. Those balls end up in my shag bag. The balls that pass the Epsom Salts test then get cleaned thoroughly to remove all of the salt and then after drying I spin them and mark them one at a time using this product. Great product!

First, the flaws:1) the top guard will not allow a normal pen fit thru the hole to the ball. The pen is black. I want other colors.2) Two 1.5 v batteries do not provide enough power. When you spin it up til the green spin light is solid, the ball spins fast, but when you press the pen even lightly against the ball, the motor slows way down. My ball have dimples, and a bit of pressure is needed to get the line wide enough to seeNow, my resolutions:1) Remove the top guard.2) Use any pen I like, even multiples3) The best pen is a Sharpie Chisel Tip. Mine is blue.I ordered the spinner after my co-competitor was playing the same ball as me, and he had one black mark on one side of the ball. Once, I hit his ball by mistake. Another time, he hit mine, which had 2 red dots and a smilie face below the label on each side.The patterns I make with my technique yield are different from each other, no two the same, JUST LIKE MY SWING! I don't even have to tell them what my mark is. They can identify uniquely to me just by watching me hit.

If it truely found the sweet spot on a golf ball, it would always spin and stop at the same spot. We'll it has yet to do so in my experiance.

Not sure how much this will change my game but it is very interesting to know there is a perfect roll line for the golf balls I check out with this thing. I like it!
